Roth Randoms - December

December randomness ...

Watching the Queen Creek Christmas parade

At the Mesa Temple Visitors Center

34 weeks

Madison wrote this for a school assignment shortly after we got back from Idaho. It says, "I wish that my Grandma could come to my house and visit me on Christmas day. She would fly on an airplane from Idaho. My Grandma would get here on Christmas Eve."

Preschool

I love that Reagan always has to be right there with the big girls

Jordan and I got to go to two of his office parties this year! One was at a great Japanese steakhouse and the other was dinner and an escape room, which was really fun!

Cute girls having fun

The girls got to see Santa (along with Frosty and the Grinch) when we went to the Loop of Lights, a neighborhood light display

We used our Pogo passes to go bowling, which is a family favorite

I seriously cannot get enough of these three!

Singing with Madison's karoak machine

Madison made this Grinch for a school project

Silly girl!!

Castles and Coasters

We decided to use some of our Christmas money to get Pogo passes for the family. The Pogo Pass gives you free admission to several popular places around the valley. However, just a couple days after we bought them, I got an email saying that one of the best places on the list, Castles and Coasters, would only be accepting the pass until Jan. 1, which was just two days away! Thankfully Jordan had that Saturday off so we decided we better go and have our fun while we still could! We had a great day!! Reagan and I mostly watched since neither of us could do any of the rides, but we did get to play mini golf at the end of the day. The big girls LOVED everything, especially the roller coasters! They are dare devils when it comes to rides! Madison is already saying she wants to go back for her birthday so I'm sure a return trip is in our future!

Somehow I only got pictures of the first ride :) Oh well

In line for the bumper boats. Madison was very excited that she was tall enough to go by herself

Reagan found a good spot to watch the go karts

Just because she's cute

Merry Christmas

We had another wonderful Christmas!!! I loved having Christmas on a Sunday this year. We combined with another ward to have 10 am church, which was perfect! We were able to get up and open presents and have breakfast and then have a wonderful Sacrament meeting and be reminded of the real meaning of Christmas! Our girls got spoiled this year, as always, but I think Jordan and I did pretty well for each other too :)

Jordan and I were busy little elves on Christmas eve!

These pictures aren't the best but I love their faces!

Madison asked Santa for a pink alarm clock

Opening stockings. Reagan really got into it this year!

McKinley saw this bike at Walmart several months ago and has been talking about it ever since. She said she was only asking Santa for this bike so he wouldn't have any other choice but to give it to her.

Reagan got a doll stroller from Santa, but it took a while to convince her it was for her dolls, not herself

Ready to ride!! She loves being able to take her baby with on rides

We got Madison a lego temple set and had a lot of fun putting it together!

My Mom actually found this optometrist Barbie and told me about it, and I had to get it for Jordan! Of course, the girls benefited the most but Jordan thought it was pretty funny!

Outfits from Grandpa (McKinley also got regular clothes from Grandpa but LOVES her Elena dress the most!)

Christmas Tree Cones

I will readily admit that I didn't do nearly as many of our Christmas traditions this year (I blame Dirk) but we did do our Christmas tree cones, which is one of our favorites!

The trademark Rothlisberger tongue

Reagan was very into decorating her Christmas tree

Jordan likes to pretend to be a bah humbug but he gets more into this activity than any of the girls!

Princess Storytime Dance

McKinley took a class through the city rec department called Princess Story Time Dance. It was taught by her favorite teacher, Miss Jen, and she was so excited for it! Basically, each week a different princess visited the class, read a story and taught the girls a dance. McKinley loved it and she did a great job with the ballet moves, although she did figure out the very first day that the princesses weren't real but were just Miss Jen dressing up as the princesses :) She's a smart one!

So cute!! She took her dances very seriously

The very last week they were allowed to dress up as their favorite princess. McKinley has loved Rapunzel for a long time but has recently become obsessed with Princess Elena of Avalor. I had already bought her a Rapunzel dress in preparation for this event and I knew she was getting an Elena dress for Christmas so she went as Rapunzel.
