Great Date Night

Jake & I have been looking forward to seeing The Lion King for a while now. We absolutely loved it and were impressed by everything. Jake had never seen a broadway show, so he said he was expecting something like cruise ship entertainment. I assured him it would be WAY better, and it most definitely was! The singing, acting, costumes, and everything were amazing! Other than being hugely pregnant and having swollen feet, I couldn't have asked for a better date night!

All Grown Up... Way Too Soon

Our little Miss Mazee is growing up so fast I can hardly believe it! She will turn 3 years old this next Sunday and started preschool last week. She really likes it and makes pretend phone calls to her teacher all the time. She's attending Airtime Gymnastics preschool, so she does 1/2 gymnastics and 1/2 preschool which I think is a great transition for her since she's still pretty young for preschool.
Mazee, we love you so very much and couldn't be more proud of the cute little girl you are. You keep us on our toes and constantly laughing. We love to hear your new "big word" for the day and are amazed at how smart you are. You are going to be such a great big sister! Even though you're growing up you'll always be my baby and my best friend. Love you sis!

Big News

I'm so happy to announce that Mazee is wearing Princess panties and is 100% potty trained!! She had it down in just a couple of days, I was so amazed at how fast she learned. Had I known it would be that easy, I would have done it a couple months ago, I was just too lazy. I still keep thinking that it shouldn't be that simple and I'm waiting for it to all fall apart. She's awesome though and we couldn't be more proud of her!! Love that girl to death! Wow, the little things that make a mom happy...

Easter

I'm obviously WAY behind, but I've finally gotten so sick of seeing that Man Dance post that I'm going to update. Actually it was more Mazee asking to watch the Man Dance video everytime I came to the blog that I got sick of. :) So... here's a little of our Easter. I was really excited to do Easter for Mazee this year, because I haven't really done anything in years past. She gets spoiled from her grandparents, and she doesn't necessarily need more candy and "stuff," but I really wanted to start some of our own traditions. We had a great Easter, especially with Conference and all.

Souvenir from the Riviera

I don't know if you can tell what this little girl is holding, and I don't think you want to know the details. But... while on the cruise we decided we should try to bring Mazee home a sibling, and that's exactly what happened. Yay! I'm almost 17 weeks and little baby is expected to arrive October 15th-ish. We're so excited and have got Mazee practicing feeding bottles and changing diapers on her dolls. She's going to be the best little helper!

Baby, Let's Cruise....

In January, Jake and I enjoyed a much needed vacation with just the two of us, which hasn't happened since our honeymoon (other than little getaways.) We cruised to the Mexcian Riviera and had a wonderful time. We were just lazy, lazy, lazy. Our families were so sweet to watch Mazee, it was comforting knowing she was in good hands. Oh, how I wish I could be back on that ship right now.......

Man Dance

Jake's upset I'm putting this on here, but I had to. This was at our little New Year's party we had at my parent's house. I learned a few things that night:

1. Jake pretty much has no sense of rhythm. We're gonna work on that.

2. Dance Dance Revolution gives you a serious workout. Now I understand how people lose 50 lbs. doing it.

3. My brother is the Master Dancer. Don't tell him I said that, his ego will grow three sizes too big. But seriously, what's up with that?! He beat me.

4. The background dancers are amazing. My mom's gonna learn a couple of the dances and put on a talent show. That will be the highlight of my life!!

P.S. Don't worry, Jake's not really upset. He acts like he doesn't want me to put this on, but secretly hopes he'll become a YouTube sensation. Feel free to tease.

Our Happy Holidays

My blogging laziness is getting the best of me right now, but I do like to document what I can, and prefer to let the pictures do the talking. Here's what our holidays have consisted of, and I'm even too lazy to put them in order. We had a wonderful, wonderful holiday season though and hope you all did too. :)

New Beginnings

I know I've been horrible at blogging lately, but these last couple months have been jam packed with all sorts of crazy stuff. I'm too lazy to blog about everything, so I'll just do the recent highlights. I'll start by talking about our sweet sister-in-law, Brette. She's pretty much amazing. She and Kade had been married for 4 months when she was diagnosed with leukemia for the second time. Yup, second. Has she let it affect her? Hardly. She is totally awesome and such an amazing example, as is Kade. So since August, she has been through several hefty chemo regimens. Around the first of December her brother came home from his mission to be her perfect match bone marrow donor. Then for the week before the transplant she underwent 3 more days of chemo plus 3 days of radiation, had one day of rest, then had the bone marrow transplant on Dec. 23rd. ALL while having an incredibly amazing attitude!! We have been blessed to have Brette and Kade as such wonderful examples of faith, strength, and rock solid love! It's like the whole thing doesn't even phase them. Seriously awesome. We're sure grateful she's got this new beginning.

P.S. Brette-- I hope you don't mind me putting this up. :) We love you guys!
