da bois

If anything, this chair is our "picture taking" chair. Jae loves to get his pic taken now and actually looks at the camera and smiles.

(I think he just likes to say "cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!")

Family Photo

Before Jimmy left for school on Monday, he decided it would be a good family picture as we were all gathered at the computer. I beg to differ.

Helper Jae

Jae likes to help me around the house. Cleaning, cooking, sweeping... whatever I'm doing, he's so there!

(This was just a distraction so I could finish whatever it was I was doing. He stood here a good hour! And yes, he was soaking by the time he was done).

Jae's stitches

We've never seen stitches sewn before, so it was pretty entertaining. At least for Mom. 6 days later, the laceration looks like it's healing well! He should be getting his stitches out the end of this week, but we are waiting on his records to be transferred before we can see the Ped.

Jae's ER Visit 11.9.11

I was getting dinner ready and Jae was in the kitchen with me. I don't even know how it happened, but I was telling him to move so I could shut the fridge. He just stood there and acted weird. He put his hand in the doorway of the fridge and I told him to move it and he wouldn't. He's usually good at obeying, so I wondered what was going on. I moved his hand, shut the fridge, and when I looked down, I noticed blood pooling on the top of his foot. Something underneath the fridge sliced his foot open. It was disgusting! Jimmy didn't think we needed to take him in, but I was pretty sure a big, gaping cut in Jae's foot was a sign we should go in. It gushed blood for the first few minutes, but was OK when we got to the hospital. This picture hardly shows the severity of it:

He was seen and after about 2 hours he got 3 stitches. He only cried a little bit and was a champ the whole time. The nurse gave him 3 sets of stickers and we put them on his Thomas PJ pants while we waited for D/C papers.

As we were waiting for D/C papers, Jae said he wanted "choclate" milk. So, I got him chocolate milk when I picked up the Bacitracin for his laceration.

Hello, new table

My parents came over the weekend and helped with some stuff around the apartment. My mom refinished our kitchen table.

It's always fun when Daddy's home!

We love when Daddy is home from school early. We went to the park and rode on Lightning McQueen!

Outdoor/Indoor Fun!

I don't know what day this was, but saw a bunny (booney, says Jae) outside our apartment:

We had a lovely snowstorm that hit us on Saturday Oct 29th. I took a before pic, but forgot to take an after-it-stopped-snowing pic.

Jimmy went outside to build our snowman family (Joey is a swaddled clump of snow):

And, today (Nov 2), Jae decided to draw on himself:

25 Oct

Our ward had a trunk-or-treat. We put Jae in a costume from last year, Turtle, and Joey wore Jae's Sumo costume. Let me tell you, Joey doesn't make as good of a Sumo as Jae did. Still cute nonetheless.. just not as good.

21 Oct

I made play dough for Jae to play with. I do have cookie cutters, but they are at the store, so we just played with what we had:

Jae kept wanting to eat the play dough, but I kept telling him it was yucky and he shouldn't eat it. Not once, but multiple times. I let the kid loose (he was done playing) and I was cleaning up. All of a sudden I hear some nasty noises like... near-puking noises... so I turned around and Jae is kind of choking on some dough. He eventually threw up the piece that was swallowed. It was actually pretty funny because once he threw up, he had his hands on his head like, "Oh man, this is disgusting! This is soooo gross!" I laughed and said, "I told you not to eat the dough.." and then he started laughing. Luckily the puke was in the kitchen so it was easy to clean.

Jae likes to Mommy-Proof the pots & pans cupboard:
