Happy Halloween!

Jake as Darth Vader, Ty as Capt. Rex, and Luke as Jango Fett

tRiCk Or TrEaT

Our ward had chili and hot dogs at the park before it was trick-or-treating time. The boys had fun running around in the spacious grass field with all of the other kids. We then walked around the neighborhood with our friends the Denham's. Cole, TJ, and little Dane all looked so cute in their costumes, too!

Best Friends

Luke and Ty are inseperable. They do everything together! They are such good buddies and I hope it continues throughout their lives. They love to have sleep overs and sleep together in Luke's bed, or on the floor in their sleeping bags.

Playground Fun

One of our favorite places to play...
at the playground at Luke and Ty's school.
The boys had a blast shooting their missles!

He means business!

Cheap Thrills

Jake has 2 of the greatest big brothers he could ask for! He loves it when they push him around the house in the laundry basket. It is one of their favorite things to do :)

...if you know our boys at all, you know that they are always running around inside or out in the backyard in just their undies. Let's hope they out grow that :)

Yogurt

This is a picture of the lid of our tub of greek yogurt. I about peed my pants one day when Ty referred to it as the "Jesus yogurt"!!

By the way, DON'T eat this kind of yogurt by itself. It's nasty.
We use it to put in our smoothies :)

At the Cabin...Oct 09

Jake and Daddy on a hike

Luke, Ty and Scout on a hike

Preparing the pit!

Roasting hot dogs!

CHEESE!!

A really strange bug/ant we found.
It was covered in fuzz!
Curt, the boys, and I headed to the cabin on Thursday afternoon. We had planned on taking our friends (Chad, Trisha and their kids) with us but they ended up having to work on Saturday. So, for the first time, the 5 of us went up by ourselves....and it was so much fun! And dare I say, a bit relaxing??!! The boys were all really good and, thanks to Dramamine, no one barfed on the trip--except our dog. We were all a bit bummed out because the one ATV that was up there wouldn't start :( but we still had a great time. We decided to cut our stay a little short because, while we were there, Curt had received word that his dad was having some health problems. Cell phone reception isn't always the greatest out in the middle of no where and Curt needed to be able to be in contact with his mom. So later on Saturday morning, we decided to clean up, load up, and head home. Long story short, Rich is in the hospital in SLC and will need a valve replaced in his heart. I got choked up when I told the boys what was going on. They all love their grandpa so much and Luke cried a little bit obviously out of concern for him. We are all praying that the dr's will be successful and that Grandpa Holbrook can recover quickly.
We love you, Grandpa!!

Cast OFF!!

Jake got his cast taken off yesterday!! As soon as we got home he got to take a nice, long bath!! I think the smell of his stinky foot will forever be imbedded in my nostrils. GROSS.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for NO MORE CASTS!!

Another Cast For Jake :(

This was our happy boy before....

This is him after...

On Sept 2nd,
Jake and his brothers were playing out in the backyard
after the boys had gotten home from school. I heard Jake screaming so I hurried outside and found all 3 boys on the trampoline. Jake was in obvious pain. He wouldn't put any weight on his right leg. I knew that wasn't a good sign. As soon as Curt got home, I took Jake to the Urgent Care. Long story short, he wore a temporary splint for a week, until we were able to see the pediatric orthopedic specialist. He took more x-rays and informed me that he suspected a "toddler fracture" on Jake's tibia. The dr couldn't actually see the fracture, but was able to see an area on the tibia where it was healing. So....Jake got to have a full cast on his leg. He was such a good boy! I was so proud of him :) The cast hasn't slowed him down at all. He will only wear the cast for about 2 1/2 weeks and we are very much looking forward to then!!
