Park with the McCleary's

Halle and I went to the park with Emilee and her boys.  We had so much fun!!  Thanks for the lunch- sorry I forgot mine.   I think I am going to blame it on the absentmindedness of pregnancy!!

Easter Sunday!!

I love Easter!!  It was so fun this year.  We went to church and then went to hear my brother speak in his singles ward.  He did such an awesome job!!  We then went over to my parents house where they had little presents for all the grandkids- Halle got a new cabbage patch doll, which she loves!!  Thanks Mom and Dad.  After a short get together we went up to my Grandma Jane's house in Sandy for dinner.  It was so good.  After visiting there for a little bit we were off to Brad's Mom's.  They were having dinner when we got there so we just joined in for some more good food.  Two dinner- not sooo bad, right?!!  Then all the kids participated in an Easter Egg Hunt.  Halle had so much fun opening her eggs.  Thank You to our families for such a wonderful day!!

St. Patty's Day!!

Here is Halle's picture on St. Patrick's Day- I guess she was just worn out!!  It is a special day in my family because it's my parent's Anniversary!!  Happy 29 Years Mom and Dad!!

Potty Update

Well, Thanks for all the input and hints on potty training!!  I really don't think Halle is ready to use the "Big Girl Potty" since it was a lot of work for me.  She only had one accident, but we pretty much sat on the potty all day.  Fun Stuff, I know.  She did go and it was really exciting since her toilet plays music when something hits the bottom.  I think I am just going to keep it out and let her sit on it when she wants.  I know it has to be her idea.

Tagged...

Ok so I have been tagged a couple of times, but have failed miserably.  So I decided that since this one is about my hubby- I would do it.  So here it is...
Brad Douglas Hoen
Some not so known facts about him-
1.  He is an extremely hard worker.  He works full time and goes to school full time so that I can stay home and raise our little princess.
2.  His hard work turns into procrastination.  Brad loves to put things (projects) off 'til the last minute.  I think he just underestimates how long it is going to take.
3.  Kidney Stone Sufferer.  The night I told Brad that we were pregnant with Halle he woke up with a kidney stone. He says that this was the worst pain he has ever had (the stone not the knowledge of having a baby)- even more than breaking his arm!!  We think the stone was do to dehydration and carbonation.  Unfortunately, Brad has failed to give up the juice.
4.   Brad dislikes sweets.  He has told me that the only reason he eats candy is because I buy it.  What a bummer- I am the one that eats the whole carton of ice cream.
5.  He is an awesome snowboarder!!  He taught me everything I know- he was a great and patient teacher.   I made him get a helmet after we were married cuz of all the jumps and tricks he likes to take and do.
6.  Dave Matthews is his most favorite artist.  NO need to say more.
7.  He enjoys reading.  He likes John Grisham books.  If he wasn't so busy right now I am sure I would catch him reading all the time.  Since he loves to read, he is a great learner.  He doesn't just like to get a project done to get it done he wants to really know how to get it done.
8.  He is a great father- most everyone already knows this about him.  Brad loves his little girl.  It makes him sad to shut the door on her when he has to work.  They love hanging out together.
9.  BYU or die.  He is a true BYU fan.  Although he didn't love attending the school, he loves BYU Football, Basketball and Baseball.

Now that you know a little bit more about my man- now is the time to let everyone know about yours!!  TAG YOU'RE IT!!

Rascal Flats Concert!!

Ok- so last night we had a GIRLS NIGHT OUT!! We (my mom, Lexi, cousins: Megan and Madi, and my Aunt Raelynn) went to the RASCAL FLATS CONCERT!! It or should I say THEY were AMAZING!!
Lexi was so fun to go with- she was decked out in her skinny jeans and cowboy boots. If I had her body I would wear that too- she was so CUTE and FUN!!
This is a picture of the GUYS- we didn't have the best seats in the world, but it doesn't mean we didn't have a GREAT time. They are so HOT- it was a good thing our MEN weren't there to spoil all the FUN (I still LOVE you Brad).
GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!
What a great time watching these GUYS perform. They were great!! Hopefully this will be the first of many of their concerts that I will attend. Maybe next time my Hubby will be in town to go with me!!
Lexi was having so much fun and then the kid next to her told her to "Be Quiet." What kind of loser goes to a concert and then expects people to sit down and be quiet. She moved seats so that she could stand up, sing, and dance with ME!!
I am so glad that Lexi brought her camera because I got mine taken away. They wouldn't let me bring an SLR camera into the concert so I had to "check" it. The security guard said that I can take video with my camera and they don't allow that- I continued to let him know that SLR cameras (or atleast mine) does NOT take video, but that most digital cameras and cell phones do. He said that I need to read my owner's manual. Whatever!! So Thanks Lex for all the fun photos!!

I also need to THANK my brothers SEAN and CLAYTON for watching HALLE. I wouldn't have been able to enjoy myself if I didn't know she was well taken care of. She did awesome for them- she hardly cried. This is a huge journal entry because she always cries when I leave. So THANKS again boys!!

Hiding

Halle loves to hide all the time!! She loves to build "huts" with her dad and hide inside. The other day I was watching our friends' little boy and they decided to hide under our table. She is going to be such a big helper when the baby comes- she pretty much always has a baby in hand and loves to pat it on the back!!

BFA Art Show

Last week Brad finished and submitted his Senior Project!! Thank Heavens- it took a lot of hours and even some all nighters.
We attended an open house for him at the Woodbury Gallery. Halle loved looking at her daddy's work and running around like a wild monkey- hence the monkey backpack (or leash) we had on her back.
This is a glimpse of his amazing talent. He did such a great job.

We (Halle and I) are so proud of him. The Deseret News published a piece about his entry in the show. You can read about it through this link:
http://www.deseretnews.com/home
Here is another link to see one of his posters:
Birth of Iraq
If anyone wants to visit the show it's free and located at the Woodbury Gallery at the University Mall (In between Nordstrom and the Gap on the Second Floor). The show will go until March 13th. His entry consists of five war posters as well as a web site he created. He is so talented!! We Love You- WAY TO GO!!

Thanksgiving Point Barn

Emilee and I took the kids a couple of weeks ago to the Thanksgiving Point Barn.  We are the crazy moms that take their kids outside when it is just a little warmer than freezing.  By the end of the adventure we were all red nosed and cold.  We can't wait to return when the weather gets warmer.  I think Halle and Will liked their pony rides the best; however, both Emilee and I had to hold on to our children and walk around with the ponies so they wouldn't fall off.
