The Shower

Last weekend, Brittany and I threw a baby shower for our friend Rachell Enger. She is just about the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen, so I figured that earned her a baby shower.

She is having a little girl and I am so excited to be a godmother (right, Rachell?)  :)

Here are some pictures of the festivities.

Some of the spread...the part which fit on my little table.
Just about the cutest cake ever thanks to Brittany, the cake magician. I can't wait to see what se has planned for the LOST finale.

Just some peeps--Karissa, me, and Brittany.

Some of the other lovely ladies--Kelsey and Sierra.

And last, but not least, the lady of the hour.

P.S. You'll notice that my camera make sthe top right of my pictures fuzzy (or sometimes the whole picture)and I am not sure why. It just recently started doing this and I am pretty ticked about it.

Cafe Rio

When you get home from work on Friday and the hubs says he wants to go to Cafe Rio to get a salad, you don't fight it. You just go, this is a once in a lifetime occurance.

He looks kind of ticked, but he is really just thinking "ok, I'll humor you for the sake of your little blog thing."

The Eye Doctor

Yes, i have been seeing a lot of doctors lately. It has been slow at work.

Here is my self-portrait after the drops they put in to dilate your pupils. Ha. I look and feel like I am on drugs and this is about forty minutes after they put the drops in.

On a side note, I aplogize to anyone who has had to look at me close-up for extended periods of time. (Mostly I mean Chris.) Yikes!

The Dentist

I have not been to the dentisit in ten years...I know, I know...how horrible. Well, I decided that it was probably time to bite the bullet and go. I was fully expecting to have a t least five cavities and get a lecture from the dentist.

But, much to my astonishment I have only two tiny cavities. The dentist kept asking me if I was sure I hadn't been to the dentist in ten years because my teeth were in remarkable shape, I had minimal buildup, and my gums looked great. Yay for me!

Plus, this dentist actually believed me when I said that I flossed. I hate how they always think you are lying when they ask you whether or not you floss. Why all the suspicion? Anyways, I was quite proud of my dental genes. You should be too.

How to combat Daylight Savings

A.) Make sure your boss is out of town

B.) Take a shower and wash your hair at night

C.) Make sure you don't care what your hair looks like in the morning

D.) Pick out your outfit the night before

E.) Do your make-up in your boss' office when you get to work

This will allow you to wake up an hour later (aka the same time as usual) and still only be like five minutes late for work.  Voila!

Invites

I am very proud of these invitations I made. If you know me, you know I am not very crafty. Thanks to Chelsea for letting me follow her around the craft store for half an hour while she told me exactly what to do. I think they turned out pretty cute.

Anaheim

You know it has been too long when you can't remember your password to log on to blogger.

It is time for an update. Sad to say, there really isn't that much that has happened in the last month. I have been really busy with work and Chris is only one month out from finishing his student teaching. He is very excited. Then I suppose we will have to figure out what we are going to do with our lives. I would really like to stay at my job, so if you hear of any good jobs for Chris, keep us posted.

Two weeks ago, we had our annual convention in Anaheim. This is the time of year when all of the distributors form all over the world come together to scream excitedly about new product announcements and mob my boss with cameras everywhere he goes. I think my main job for the week was that of a security guard/bouncer.

Here are some pictures of the event. It was a lovely 68-70 degrees while we were there and we had the chance to go to Disneyland. Actually, we rented it out, so no lines!

You will notice throughout these pictures that I: A)look like crap...it's my new style, and B) am wearing the same outfit in like all of them. Also, a component of the new "look" and the fact that I packed only a carry-on.

Darth Vader. The lego man, not the girl I am with. :) That is Trisha, my roomie for the week.

Indiana Jones in Legos. The lego store in Downtown Disney was very cool. Ignore my crazy outfit. I blame jetlag....

The view from my hotel window. I don't get out much, okay?

The big reveal. If you have ever seen our old packaging, this is WAY better. Plus, they introduced a bunch of new flavors and new science. It was awesome to see everyone's reactions.

One of the highlights was driving my boss's GT-R to go pick up some tuxedos. This car goes like 200 miles an hour. I took it up to a daring 36.
All in all, a good week.

I'm not dead

I swear. I have been really busy with work lately, and the last thing I want to do when I get home is open my computer. An update is on its way, I promise.
