Better Late Than Never

That has become my new motto in life.  I do what I can, when I can and if it gets done on-time that’s great—in fact if it gets done at all that’s great.  I mean, really, there are only 24 hours in a day and I think I can say in all honesty that I have cut out as much sleep as is safe :)  I also really do try to actually use just about every moment of the day.  For example, I am sitting in my car, waiting for Emily to finish her cello lesson—right now.  I have decided if I want to continue blogging (which I do) that I need to take advantage of any time I “have” to sit still—cello, soccer, ballet—I mean that is 3 hours a week of time to blog!!  That’s fantastic!  Waaaayyy better than cutting out 3 hours of sleep from somewhere ;)  I think most days I stay pretty on top of things—the kids are fed, rested, read to and played with and for the most part clean—right now everything else is extra.  I know they each individually feel cherished and special in this family.  I am so grateful for that.  So things around here get done when they can.  I am trying to not take on too much so that I can focus my efforts and energy on what is truly most important—these 6 sweet children who are growing up way too fast!!

Project Time-Bow Holders

So to tackle a few things on my list :)  I have been wanting to make this super cute bow holder for forever.  I just hadn’t had the time to find a BIG frame—thanks KIM!!  So after Kim found me a couple of good ones at Hobby Lobby I dug out the spray paint and set to work.  I was making two, one for the little girls room and one for downstairs, and believe it or not I’ll probably fill them both up!  So I had planned on painting the one for the girls room white but and I liked it OK but then when I painted the one for the bathroom silver and LOVED it (and so did Olivia) we decided I needed to repaint the other one silver too—and yep, I LOVED it too.  I also decided that I love spray paint—I really do.  It  made this all sooooo easy.  OK clipping the chicken wire to the right size was a bit of a pain, and the staple gun running out at midnight wasn’t planned BUT the painting was super easy.  And I am oh-so happy to have another thing done, cute and checked off my list.  Yippie!!!!
