Thanks to Aunt Sally, Mo and Zuki had a great Daddy - Daughter date at Liberty Park watching some South African dances. They put some African gear on and had a great time!
The dots are made with Calamine lotion. They are traditional Xhosa face decorations. They wear them for cultural ceremonies. I wore this same design for our wedding reception.
The kerchief on Zuki's head is from a concert Mo and I attended at BYU-Idaho performed by the African Children's choir.
Mo and Zuki went over to talk to the members of the dance group. FUN!
Earlier this same day, the girls and I had gone to Tracy Aviary with Aunt Sally, Dante, Jake, and Jake's friend, Jake.
Jake is such a funny guy. I really like him, and Dante. They are so good with the girls, and willing to keep an eye on them for me. I love it.

Since Mo works in the city, we go to the Gateway and City Creek to play and walk around quite often. I really love it. I love window shopping.

We went to the Brigham City Temple open house. There were tons and tons of people there, and it was so great to see the temple. It was a great teaching opportunity for us and the girls.
What a beautiful Temple. It sits right on the spot where my older sisters, Anna and Dwynne, attended elementary school. I was born in Brigham City, so it was nice to go back and see familiar things. We also drove by the house where my Grandparents Zenk used to live, and we were living with them when I was born.

Peekaboo! How did that get there?
Malaika had just woken up when we got there, so her smiles aren't quite ready yet.
I told you there were tons of people right? Well, people were parking far away, and they had these buses going back and forth. There were 3 more buses up the road.
Here are our booties! Everyone was required to wear these so that the floors of the temple could stay clean from all the traffic that was walking through.
After the temple tour, we went over to the cemetery where my Grandma Zenk was buried.
Here I am explaining to Zuki that Grandma Zenk is Papa's (my dad) mommy. Someone was here recently and left flowers. I think it may have been Grandpa and Aunt Jeri. Thank you to whomever left the flowers. They were beautiful.
Malaika grabbed these flowers from Great Grandpa's spot,

This was a very sweet moment for me and my family.

Malaika loves to hang out in there when I am too lazy to put the stroller away.
Zuki came running out of her room one day yelling, "Come look at my castle! I even built a firm foundation!" I have been teaching her that her castles will be more sturdy if she has a firm foundation like a book or other blocks in a square pattern for it. (This will be a great thing to look back on for teaching moments later in life).
Malaika kept doing this over and over everytime I tried to take a picture. She's gets in these silly moods every once in a while.
I have tons of these pictures where they just look so funny! I need to make a collage or something.
Malaika has been into wearing things on her head lately. She'll bring her hat to me, or her shoes and make little "I want" noises, asking me to put it on her.
She started doing this on her own a few weeks ago. I was sitting at the table working when this brown this shot past me...I had to grab the camera and get a video of it. I was trying so hard not to laugh!
