Just another birthday!

It was sad that Kelii had to be away on a business trip on my birthday, but he made up for it with these lovely flowers. My neighbor Becky out of the goodness of her heart made me my own personalized birthday cake! I told her that I really don't need a birthday cake, but she insist that I have one. She is an awesome friend and neighbor! The cake was delicious and the flowers were beautiful what else could I ask for on my birthday!

Discovery Park

We went to Discovery Park in PG for the first time. I have always heard about it, but never got the chance to go this past summer. It was a bit chilly when got there, but because it was so cold not a lot of kids were there at the park. I met up with my friend from the mission who lives in Cedar Hills with her cute little boy Jackson.

Happy Halloween!

This is long overdue! But Emi's playgroup decided that they should all dress up in their costumes. What a bunch of cute girls!

Right before bedtime!

Last night we went outside to see if we could help Daddy with the lawn when we see Annika in her diaper playing in her front yard. It just happened that Emi didn't put any clothes on for the day besides her diaper. They spotted each other and immediately started to play. I just thought it was funny they were both in their diapers! I had to get picture of them playing.

Annika is our next door neighbor and she comes over a lot to play with Emi! They are like the best friends because they follow each other everywhere around the house and they have to be doing what the other is doing. The best is when they both drink from their own sipping cups and a minute later they have to make a trade and have the other's.

Long overdue pictures of our trip!

So we got back from our trip two or three weeks ago and I haven't posted any pictures yet! I am so bad at keeping up with the blogging! But I will make up for it these next few days. Here are some random pictures from the trip from Cabela's to the visititor center in Independence and then the liberty jail. We went to visit the kau's and the Eldridges' in kansas and Missouri. The best part was just hanging out and watching the three girls play together. It's too bad we can't all live closer. But maybe we will make this an annual thing for us. More to come! I hope!

Family Pictures

I've been a very bad blogger this summer so some how I need to make it up. Here are some family pictures that we took over the summer. It was really hard to get the two babies to look at the camera because there was nobody there to get their attention. Oh well, at least all the adults were smiling. I wanted everybody to come dressed in one color, but as you can see everybody showed up with different idea of what color they wanted to wear. I think I like the navy blue the best.

The Utah County Fair

Last Saturday we took our exchange student, Ayaka, to the Utah County Fair at thanksgiving point. It was fun to introduce her to the foods sold at the booths like pulled pork, brrisket, navajo tacos, hand cut fries and cotton candy. She thought many of the portions were ginormous compared to what she is used to in Japan. I know that she really liked the fries. Emi enjoyed all the colors coming from the rides and the game booths. She kept pointing to everything and saying "ooooo!" It was cute to see her so excited about everything around her.

Wunders on vacation

We were able to go as a family to Disneyland this past week. It was fun to get together with all the Wunders and just spend lot quality time with each other. Here are some pictures of us all standing in line for the Peter Pan ride. We all stayed in a vacation rental house that was about 10 blocks away from Disneyland. The house was very comfortable for all of us and it had a nice backyard with a pool and an outdoor kitchen. Someday that would be nice to have a nice backyard like that:)

Flowers make everything better!

I was having a bad day and so Kelii decdied to suprise me with these flowers. What a great hubby! Fresh flowers are so beautiful, but the problem is that they don't last forever. Good thing we have ways of remembering them even after they are gone.

After the walks

One thing that we love to do in the afternoons after Kelii gets back from work is to go on a short jog or walk. After our walks we make an effort to go past the neighborhood park to let Emi run around on the grass. I wanted to get a picture of the sun setting behind some of the houses, but it turned out looking like a big white sky. We eat mostly after our walks so Emi joins us on our deck whiile we BBQ some chicken for dinner. One thing that she loves about the deck is that it overlooks two adjoining neigbor's yards and they both have dogs named Skipper and Angel. Her favorite thing to say is "daw," which translates to dog and she knows that going out on the deck means she gets to see them.

Utah Lake

We live about 10 mintues north of the Utah lake and we thought we would take a scenic drive there to see what we could find. The water isn't the clearest or the cleanest, but it's just nice to have a body of water close to us. Maybe someday they will make it into a lake where people would actually want to swim in it. Kelii would rather swim in the open ocean than the lake because he said you never know what kind of fish lurks in these kinds of lakes. I think he is afraid of a giant catfish swimming up to him and bitting him on the leg.

Emi's birthday luau pictures!

It has been over a month since Emi's birthday party and I have been procrastinating way to long. These pictures are long overdue, nevertheless here they are. The party was a great success! We had so much help from family and especially Papa and Coco. It was great to see many friends and family who came. We enjoyed yummy food and most of all the entertainment provided by Emi's aunty Becky, Cea, Amber and Celeste.
