Holy cow it's been awhile... this is what we have been up to

I know it has been several months (year) since the last time I posted so here is a quick run down of what we have been up to...
1- Baseball,  baseball and more baseball...

Garrett has been on his accelerated team as well as he and Dallin on a city league with Ryan as the coach.  It is so much fun to be able to watch these two play with eachother on the same team.  Having them just 18 months apart is starting to pay off. ;)

2- Allie did the dirty dash!!!

She went and ran the Piglet Plunge with my friend and her little girl.  She said it was the "funnest thing ever!" and wants to do it again in the fall.  Hopefully by then I can get the tattoo off her face.

3- Dallin got his braces off!!!

4- Took Allie and her two cousins to the zoo for 1st grade day!

5-  I took on one of the biggest challenges of my life a few weeks ago.  It wasn't a race, or a move, but I babysat my 3 nieces... 2 of which are 18 month old twins.  And if that wasn't enough we took them CAMPING.  It was actually one of the funnest (but busiest) weeks ever.  I love these girls so much and can't wait to have them again!

 We went with some friends and took our trailers.  After we had been there for awhile we noticed we kept hearing a little bird chirping.  We found this little guy in our friends trailer down in the hitch.  He had traveled all the way up there without his mama.  Poor little thing but the kids had fun with it.

Other than this not too much... at least not anything else that I have pictures of... still haven't gotten a new camera after mine with lifted.  Damn thieves...

All I have so far are "after pics" for the Dirty Dash this year... but really, who wants to see the pics of us clean? Thanks ladies for making this year tons o' fun!!! And I have no clue who the people cheesing behind us are... And Lisa, you look really cold.

2 more days and I don't have to clean "THIS" anymore

Family Pictures 2011

I am a little ashamed to say the last time we had family pics was when Allie was 4 months old! So I finally nailed down a time with my AMAZINGLY talented sister in law to have them done. I have never stressed so much about pictures in my life! I figured if we were going to do this for the 3rd time EVER then we were going to do it right. So I made the family promise not to get injured, bruised or dead prior to the event. ;) Anyway, I am totally pleased with how they turned out.There were also a couple horses in the field and one of them would NOT leave us alone! Everytime we tried to set up the picture there he would be, 2 feet away from us. He followed us around almost the whole time! I was suprised at how calm most of the kids were around it, though. I think that will add to the memory of the whole thing. :)

Is it ever going to stop?!

The bird that fell from the tallest branch in the tree...

Oh my gosh.... this has to be the dumbest bird EVER! So, today when I got home from taking the kids to school (8:50am) I heard this noise that sounded like someone throwing a bouncy ball at a window. Well, 10 minutes later I still hear this noise! So I look out the windows but only to find I dont' see anything. 45 minutes later, I still hear it! No kid has an attention span that long. Every 5-10 seconds, BONK! So finally at about 10:00am I really start to look around. I noticed out my bedroom window some birds below in the grass so I start thinking there is a baby bird stuck in the window well. So, I grab a broom and head down to investigate. This is what I found....

It is now 2:00pm... It is still at it! I tried opening the window so it could just come in and get what it wants and leave but he wouldn't come in. I am thinking he is probably attacking his reflection. Who knows... all I know is that he isn't really smart. He runs off any other bird that even looks like they are going to get close to him. If you listen closely on one of the videos, when he is down in the window well, you can hear him pecking at the window.
