Another fun St. Patrick's day has come and gone. It is nice that the boys know there are no leprechauns or Easter bunnies because it makes them even more appreciative of everything I put into holidays like this.
They woke up to gold chocolate coins in their shoes and new t shirts laid out. Breakfast was green milk and lucky charms. Shortstop headed off to school, but not before the boys checked the toilet water to make sure it was green. Since it was a half day, we picked Shortstop up from school at noon, had a picnic lunch in the car on the way to haircuts and stopped for Shamrock shakes on the way home. The boys love getting their hair cut and it was extra special cause Mark stopped in to hang out for his lunch hour.
Dinner is simple and a favorite with rainbow pancakes. Usually I make homemade Shamrock shakes but since Mark and I had a date set up that night and the boys got a babysitter, we bought them earlier in the day (although I prefer mine). Happy Irish holiday to everyone! And top o the mornin to you!
