Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #106 - N is for Need Coffee.
Edna's face really does say it all! We've all been there... Let's hope the coffee helps.
These days I'm more of a ginger tea girl, but wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to break out some fun stamps and join in the coffee-related frolics... especially when the sisterhood are involved!
I spotted the 'sentiment' a few weeks ago and knew it would be perfect for a work colleague who can hardly stand until she's downed a few medicinal cups worth of her favourite 'pick-me-up-juice'.
The cups and coffee pots come from a sweet Jane's Doodles set, which I then over-stamped with a Hero Arts background stamp.
It's quite a sweet 'n' simple card, which looks far prettier in real life.
The sistahs would love it if you joined us for this challenge, grab a cup and come on over!

Naughty or Nice Challenge #49 - Reminder
The Troublemakers are back again with some mid-month inspiration for Challenge #49. The team have had plenty of fun creating their drink and drinking related cards and would love to see more players in the linky gallery!
My card was quick and simple to make, and features a fun set from Simon Says Stamp. To create the colour effect behind each corkscrew image I simply reversed the stamp on my Mysti and inked it up!
The card base was created with Distress Inks spritzed with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Lace. It looks so sparkly and catches the light beautifully.
We'd love you to come and play along!

The Library Challenge #1
There are some fun, new challenges popping up at the moment. I've not had chance to join Darnell and friends at the Two-fer challenge yet, but today I managed to find time to play in the library with Head Librarian Marina.
Challenge #1 is a well-loved classic : Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I seem to remember reading this book in my late teens and loving it. Later, I swooned with 50% of the nation when the lovely Colin Firth went for a swim wearing that big, white shirt in a TV adaptation of the novel.
My card uses one of my most favourite AI gals; if I want someone pontificating then this is always my go-to stamp!
Marina has already posted Challenge #2 and the inspiration comes from another favourite of mine: The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Always loved that cover and I found the story far more appealing than The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Happy crafting, everyone!
In these challenges we can take our inspiration from the cover, the title or the story itself.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #105 - Z is for Zigzag.
The sistahs return today with a super-fun challenge: Zigzags!
The zigzags on my card are subtle: a ziggyzaggy stenciled background and a piece of patterned paper, but that's ok, we just want to see your pointy-up and pointy-down lines (thanks for that wonderful description of the noble zigzag, sistah Jane!).
As always the sisters have created some brilliant cards to get you in the mood! Check-out the cards of our newly crowned Queen and our newest sistah - they've done an amazing job!

Seize the Birthday!
It's snowy and foggy outside so I've been forced to stay in and make a card!
In all honesty this really isn't the card I should have been making as I have a heap of DT commitments to fulfill, but playing along with the crew at Seize the Birthday just seemed a bit more fun!
I was delighted, and very surprised, to find that this had happened when I dropped by to see what the new challenge was going to be!
Thanks so much, ladies, this has made my weekend.
It's an Anything Goes week without toppings so I decided to make this little bit of craziness. I've not finished the inside yet as I'm not sure who it's for, but it'll probably end up saying something like 'Happy birthday, matey' or there'll be a piratical pun of some sort!
Happy crafting everyone!

Card Chain Challenge - February Reveal
It's reveal time again over at the Card Chain Challenge and while the snow may have slowed the transit of some of the cards those that are in the reveal so far are gorgeous!
I broke out a new MFT set for my card to enable me to pick up on the theme of dogs. Torn paper was also on offer as a technique so, instead of tearing some DP, I masked with a torn post it note and used Distress Inks to create the background.
The sketch had to go by the wayside for my design, which was a pity as it's a really nice one!

If you'd like to join us at CCC the March sign-up here and you can catch the rest of the reveal here.
Keep warm and happy crafting!

My recipient was the lovely Arlene in California.
The colours were gorgeous for this challenge, but I did find them tricky to replicate from the range of inks and pens in my stash.

The very talented Jane sent me this beautiful card. She really is such an accomplished card maker and I always love her work.

Naughty or Nice Challenge #49 - Drink Up!
Another fun graphic (Bravo, Danielle) heralds the start of another fun challenge over at Naughty or Nice!
This month we've got a favourite challenge of mine: Drink Up!
Although alcohol may be the first thing that springs to mind, the Troublemakers aren't worried whether your card features wine, beer, coffee or another beverage of your choice - it just has to show something you can drink!
My card for this challenge features champagne... and pink champagne at that!
I made this card for my cousin's wife, Sandra, who is celebrating her birthday today. The sweet, little champagne flute comes from a Technique Tuesday Christmas set 'Keep Calm and be Merry' and the sentiment was printed on my PC.
I am really pleased with how the card base turned out. You can't really tell on the screen how twinkly and pretty the hearts are. I mixed embossing paste and Distress Stickles and spread them across a hear stencil. The finished effect is gorgeous and definitely a technique I'll be used again!
I'm also linking to Challenge #161 at Addicted to Stamps - Have a Heart. I'm not sure I've ever played there before, but I love the DT cards and the linky gallery looks awesome!
We're saying a goodbye and an au revoir over at Naughty and Nice this month, but we're delighted to have a long time friend of the challenge stepping in to help out. If you want to see who our fabulous guest DT is, why not head over, take a look and play along...
