Greenhouse ready for planting

So here are a few pictures of my greenhouse after I worked the soil. Also a few pictures of carrots, onions and herbs that I planted last year and they are still growing and we do harvest them and eat them. They look a little puny but they are not.

Clouds and possible snow

This week the sun is hiding behind the clouds so I will not be in the greenhouse.
However, the sun will return next week and I will be working out there again.
I will start some of my seeds indoors soon so they will be ready for planting in February or March.

It is supposed to snow this week and it is so cold and windy outside. I think I will hide out in the house where it is warm until the sun returns.

Greenhouse

I have been working in my greenhouse pretending its summer. When I work in there I put on summer cloths, bring some music and something refreshing to drink and work the soil. It gets so warm in there now that I actually sweat in the winter. When I look outside the green house I can see the neighbors front yard and it is still covered in snow. It's a north facing front yard. So I just don't look that way so I can pretend I am having a nice summer day.

It is refreshing to my soul. So, If you are looking for me I will be in summer.

Another fun filled year!

Well here we are again another year. I was looking over my blog from the past year. It was a fun year. I am so blessed with all my family and friends. It was an eventful year, sometimes it seems like nothing happened until you review your blog and see how much fun and full it was.

I am sure many of you have set new goals for this new year. I know I have. The same ones I set every year. So I won't go into those here. We all know what they are.

Chantelle is doing really good in school she will graduate this year in 2009 with her associate of art and then move on to a university to finish out her degree.

Doug and I will be experiencing empty nest syndrome this year when she leaves. I am ok with it, so is doug. Although now with work and the economy going in the tanker we don't have any money to enjoy our empty nest. Very sad. At least we had some holidays before. The only thing I really wanted to do again was go back to Hawaii and stay for a month or so. I love the beach and sun and the lovely tradewinds. It was our best holiday.

Well I am going to make the best of the new year and enjoy everything.
