Winter Blues

Last night and today we are having extremely high winds, which usually means cold weather is on the horizon. I checked wunderground.com and sure enough we will be getting snow this week. Yuck!

Wendy, I agree with you completely. I want warm weather too, at least longer than 2 days. My garden is struggling because the weather has been so inconsistent this year.

Summer Heat

Today is the warmest day of the year so far. It was in the 80's - I love it! I have all windows open and the ceiling fans spinning. It is so nice to be able to have fresh air going through the house. It was such a looooooonnnng winter.

The greenhouse is full of plants and growing vegetables, greens and flowers hanging from the ceiling in their pots. It a wonderful thing. I am so happy its warm and summer is on its way.

Mother's Day was really fun. Dani and Adam came to visit for the weekend. Chantelle and Dani with a little help from Doug made breakfast, mmmmmmm. They also made dinner after church. We had a wonderful BBQ and ate outside.

It was a lovely day and I felt so special. It was a lovely warm day. I was so happy about that. It's been cold and rainy since.

I rec'd many fun gifts from my girls. Thank you, Jessica, Dani, Heather and Chantelle for making this such a wonderful Mother's Day! I am truly blessed to have such wonderful daughters like you.

The weather is still a bit cold. Not as warm as I would like. I think the perfect temp. is 75 to 80 degrees.

I did get my garden planted and a few things have popped up. I am very excited about that. A few things did not, so I have to replant. Oh well, such as life.

Doug turned "50" on May 8th and we had a little soiree for him. Actually a BBQ. I will post more on that later.
