My South African homies 2 Bop recently ventured over to Berlin for the annual Bread & Butter Expo, where they showcased both their current and forthcoming collections.
Despite it being their first year at the show, their brand was well-received, and in turn helped people open their eyes to South African culture and fashion.
Big up Brad, Hardy and Anthony each and every time.
As Rinse FM gets closer to its 18th Birthday, they've decided to produce a series of interviews with some of the station's DJs (past and present), about their experiences and what the station means to them.
Kicking thing things off is station/label head Geeneus.
"In jeffstaple’s 14th part of the “1-2-1 w/jeffstaple” interview series, the founder and creative director of Staple Design and Reed Space finds Paul Mayhinney in an honest and casual chat about his deep love of music and endless racks of records. Paul Mayhinney is the founder and keeper of Record-Rama, the world’s largest record collection. Having begun his collection in the early 1950s, Mayhinney then started a business after amassing numerous thousands of records, and also commenced cataloging every passing record in a historically invaluable archive. This business thrived up until the turn of the millennium, when record prices lost almost all competitive leverage to CDs and MP3s. Record-Rama shut its doors in 2008 during the global credit crunch for lack of consumer or archival interest. While Mayhinney rues how technological advancements have combined to erode the value of his passion’s work, he diligently continues to seek fund-raising options and a worthy buyer here."
BONUS! Here's an interesting story about Paul helping launch David Bowie's career.
AllSaints' Christopher Tubbs sits down with one of my favourite producers, dBridge, to talk about his career in music to date.
They touch on a number of subjects, such as dBridge's time with Bad Company, setting up Exit Records, working with his brother Steve Spacek, and also his singing/songwriting skills!
Make sure you have some time on your hands, as this interview is pretty lengthy!
To coincide with his new release on Deep Medi, Darkside sits down with Dubstep producer Tunnidge to discuss how he got involved within the scene, future releases, his forthcoming art exhibition and lots more.
If you're unaware of who Tunnidge is, I highly recommend that you go check out his back catalogue; especially if you're a fan of weighty, sub heaver rollers.

Just Blaze on how he feels about Jay Elect signing to Roc Nation (refusing to comment). He goes on to speak about Diddy’s attempt at capitalizing on Jay’s talent/fanbase, and how he’s been offered a slew of shady offers in the past.
