Winner, Winner Lobster Dinner!!

Ashley got to go in an end of the year drawing at school for scoring good on her ISAT tests.  She was one of the grand prize winners and won a Nook!  She was so excited, she also got $100 to Barnes and Noble to load it up with.  I cant think of a more deserving girl then Ash.  She works so hard for her good grades!  Yay Ashley!!

Kindergarten Field Trip

Justin’s Kinder class did a fun field trip around to each kids house.  It was fun to see everyone’s house and there fun toys, or animals.  Justin loved showing his room and house.

It got pretty wild!

Kindergarten Program

Justin got to play king in a little play with his friend Aiyden.  It was quite cute.  He looked so handsome.  I was beaming with pride!

Jaci had a cute part too.  She knew all of her lines perfectly!

Peek a Boo!

We love watching Rett get down and look under things.  It is so cute!  Emma was in the bathroom and Rett wanted in.  She was playing with him under the door.  He is such a fun boy.  Sisters take good care of him too.

Then he realized I was taking pictures so he had to come over and see me.  I finally figured out how to keep him from getting on the table.  See all the chairs on top of the table!!  I can outsmart a one year old…… sometimes!

Some More Pictures From the Weekend

We always have a good time when the Jensen boys are around.

103_2837

We went the whole weekend with out internet!!  How did we survive!!

103_2838

We saw lots and lots of wildlife right out the kitchen window and on the drive.

103_2848

Winter really hit us hard!

103_2853103_2854

We had lots of fun recipes and food.

I cant wait to redeem ourselves next year!

Favorite Things.

One really fun part about the sister retreat was our favorite things exchange.  It was better than Christmas!  Maybe not better, but the loot was WAY better than Christmas!  Kristin’s fave thing was chapstick, Mom gave cocoa and salad tongs, my fave’s were Outrageous shampoo, oreos, dove chocolates, and a flower pin.  Trish got us some yum body spray, room spray, and she still owes us a piano recital!  Erica’s favorites were the hand scrub and the super fun Relief Society rings.  I am sure I forgot a few things, there was so much!

We were trying out all of the yummy scents.

Discussing the Axe for girls.  It really is yumm-o, the boys stuff is yum too!  I never knew!

Trish opening my favorite things.  Ash was photographer, she did a good job.

The kids liked watching the mom’s reactions.  They were pretty excited for my loot.  And their nice Aunties shared some treats with them and Grandma of course brought something for them too.

Kristin not tearing the wrapping…..

Mom trying out her chocolates.

103_2844

The fun rings.  It took Ryan four guesses to finally pick my hand.  They all look just like Mom’s, I think!

103_2847

Fun times!  Erica also took us to a few fun shops in her little town.  It is a cute little touristy town with a river running right through it, and a cracked school.  Sorry still obsessed over the school……

Sister Retreat 2012 (can it even be called that???)

This years sister retreat was VERY eventful.  I am not going to re-live it all detail for detail, but it involved, gas caps, a stowaway kitty, snow, closed roads, switch back mountain roads, more snow, another stowaway kitty, steep mountains, art show,  no water, stuck cars, Jackson pass, favorite things exchange, oxygen depravation from staying at 9000 feet up, thunder and lightning in a snow storm, broken door handle, brand new cracked school (I still cant get over), sickness, lots of yummy food, freezing rain, hail, more snow, Towgotee pass, hospital, plane ticket, driving and driving, and one trip we will all NEVER forget!!  (except maybe Mom:).

Right from the get go we got stuck in Mom’s car.  Thankfully Doug was there to help us get out, even though it looks like we did most of the work!!  Just kidding, thank goodness we had Doug and all of his boys!

103_2823

They had a mild winter until we came in to town.  We ended up with lotsa snow before we left the cabin.

103_2826

We had to push to the top of the hill where Doug could finally hook on and pull the car out the rest of the way.  Funny thing is 10 minutes away in town, Erica’s house had no snow!  Actually at the bottom of the mountain there was NO snow….. We were WAY up in the mountains!

Finally out!  I did not take many pictures.  There was just so much, but yet not that much.  The whole weekend was just kind of weird, we are glad to be home.  I hope I will be able to laugh about it all soon, right now I am still too sad, mad, scared, relieved, it wasn’t all bad, just mostly.  OK I just need to stop!

Ashley Wins, Claire Creates

Ashley won a poster contest at our school for the fifth graders.  It was called Soil to Spoon.  She drew a potato field being planted, growing, harvested, going in the cellar, and her picking clods, and then on the table.  If we get it back I will post a picture.  She won 35 dollars, a new t shirt, and gets to compete with the winners from the county.  She did a really good job!

103_2818

Claire and I spent the morning creating crowns, and necklaces, and bracelets.  It just went on and on.  Everyone was pleased with their surprises when they got home.

103_2819103_2820103_2821

Ashley and Emma are getting ready for a recital.  They are doing a duet.  It is the Ash Grove from Pride and Prejudice!  It is really pretty.  They are getting better and better.

We are so ready for school to be wrapping up, we are ready for summer!

Sunday Shots

Emma looked so cute in her Dad’s cowboy boots.  It was nice weather so we sat outside.

103_2815

Rett discovered kitty food and had his first taste!  Thankfully he didn’t like it so he only tried it once.  Unlike some of my other babies…..

He just sorted it from the bowl to the cup holder in the chair.  Funny boy.

Claire Loves To See The Temple

103_2803

Every time we go to Twin Claire wants her picture taken by the temple.  Grandma T got all the kids a temple book to put their pictures in and she doesn’t have a Twin temple yet.  We were driving by and I had the camera this time so we finally stopped.  I love that she loves the temple!

A Day In The Life!

We pulled up to cheerleading (after school, and after I had picked the girls up from piano, it was a busy afternoon) and we could hear this meowing in the suburban.  I am thinking, for real!?  I lifted the hood and all 6 kitties were up inside something, I don’t know what??  Mamma kitty had moved them all in and we took them for a ride.  They were all just fine, put crying like crazy.

103_2787

We pulled them all out and then went in the school and found a box to take them home in.  I am sure Mommy kitty was wondering what was going on, but not really they have been in the same place two or three more times since then.  Crazy Cat!

Field Trip to Skate Land

This year for field day the kids went to Skate Land.  I thought it was a great idea.  Field day is ALWAYS freezing and a lot of work.  This was much easier and a fun change.  All the kids were there too, so that was fun.   Emma and Serena cheering for some of the races.  (Mrs. Ross in the back ground)

We attempted a self portrait and didn’t have much success!

Someone must have taken a picture of me in the adults race, I didn’t win.

103_2809

We are not very good skaters at our house.  I keep thinking I should invest in some skates, but then I know it would drive me crazy to have them going around and around my kitchen.  How did Mom stand it??
