December-is a busy month for us!

We celebrated Rex's 2nd birthday! Kulka's, Papa and Nona, and Great grandma Sparks came to celebrate. Rex loved the elmo, and train gifts! He was so excited jumping up and down. And loved his Elmo cake too! Afterward we decorated gingerbread houses. He was happy to have plenty of candy on his big day!

This past saturday our elves were busy baking away. Vanessa and I each made 35 plates of cookies to pass out Sunday as the whole Kulka clan, Corless clan (including Papa and Nona and special appearance Michael), and Elders bellowed varieties of christmas music. Neighbors we taken back by the old fashioned caroling, and thoroughly was enjoyed by all.
I have been busy getting some little princess ready for the wedding of Michael and Melanie (Riehl). We are so excited to celebrate with them!! All kinds of Corless family will be coming in town shortly after Christmas! It is the most wonderful time of the year as we prepare and anticipate!!

Sophia and Rex have been best buddies during the day when the boys are at school. They love playing in the basement together, and coming up with all kinds of adventure. We will miss Sophia when she ventures on to school next year. We will enjoy her so much now before she goes!!

We sprung a leak! Luckily we have great handy men to navigate and find the leak. With the help of prayer, Ryan and Dad successfully exposed the crack in our basement. Tomorrow it will get filled, and then on to repairing the wall before Christmas!

Jacob has been my amazing helper in the kitchen!! We have a Corless Cafe! We pretend we will be serving many customers. Jacob likes to think up menus and prices for our guests. He is such a joy to have in the kitchen!! Thanks Jacob for all your hard work and great toothless smiles, they warm my heart and bring such joy!

August

Early August, Preston went to Cub day camp. Jake and I played together, and with friends. Papa took the kids to the zoo a few times. Eduarda came into town to visit for 2 weeks on her way back to Brasil from an exchange program to California. We loved showing her all Michigan has to offer.
In August Ryan got offered a new position at GM, that ford was unable to match, so Ryan landed a two week vacation between jobs. We were able to celebrate our 12th anniversary 2x’s! We enjoyed an Italian dinner on the night of our anniversary, and then later a two day vacation (thanks to Papa and Nona) to Cedar Point in Ohio. We also went to Holland MI 19-20th with the Christensen family. We loved going to the beach, and sand dunes. It was beautiful. August 26-28 we went camping at lake Minnawana with the Kulkas, and Papa and Nona came up for a day. We really enjoyed biking, paddle boats, hiking, swimming, and camping in the pop up trailer. This weekend we will celebrate Labor day with a camp out at Papa and Nona’s. We have loved the summer and are getting excited for this next school year. Tomorrow Ryan starts his new job at General Motors. We have been truly blessed.
