Lately I hear, "Mommy read" a bazillion times a day. All this little kid wants to do is have me read him books. It's super cute and can get super exhausting... especially after 2 hours of "mommy reading" to him and he still wants more. The other day I was watching 3 little girls and I had them all downstairs with the toys so I could keep an eye on them. At one point I looked around and Thomas wasn't there, so I went up stairs and found him in surrounded with books in his room reading. Man, this kid loves his books.
I went shopping today at the mall to get some Cardinal attire, we are going to our first game as a family this Monday and we have to have the appropriate attire. We're trying to fit in here, EVERYONE is big "Cards" fans. So, it should be fun. I got all three boys and myself a shirt. I also decided to get Thomas a hat so his little buzzed head doesn't get fried. They were also too cute I could resist.
I came home tonight right before bed and he immediately put it on. He didn't even want to take it off to go to bed. So here's some pics of my little Cards fan with his hat on!! Sorry Grandpa Phil, you Cubbie fans are in for it!!
P.S. I walked past the bookstore on my way out of the mall and decided I also had to get Thomas some new books since he's become such a reader. He's probably read all the books we have a few hundred times. :0) I don't know what he was more excited for; the books or the hat. It was a pretty good tie.

Blame it on the economy!
Looks like he's going a little bald in the back!
So, we set him in his booster seat and put on a little Barney to distract him and the fun began.
I'll have to say Michael didn't do too bad of a job. Though, I believe I shed a tear or two as I watched my little boy's cute hair fall to the floor.
When he saw himself in the mirror he touched his head and said, "Ah, oh." I guess he too missed hair and was wondering where it wondered off to!

Birthday fun and more...
I put 27 candles on his little cake... 27 trick candles. It took him over 5 minutes to blow out the candles. I think I peed my pants a little laughing while he tried to blow out all of those candles... the smoke alarm was going off and everything. It was funny, sorry honey, you're turning into an old man. :0) I love ya!!Michael with the boys..
Twinners... my mom always did this to my sister and I. It's cute!
Hee hee, so handsome!!
Henry is learning to sit up with a little bit of help. He doesn't like lying down these days...
Henry doesn't know what to think of it all.
Thomas likes being twinners!!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy 2nd Birthday Thomas!!
I wasn't thinking that he would be poked and prodded by the doctor and nurses on his birthday. I wasn't thinking that he hates the doctor's office. I wasn't thinking that he was probably going to receive several shots on his birthday. (Worst mom ever!) If that isn't enough; I was holding Henry at the doctor's office while the doctor was listening to his lungs because he's had a bad cough; and Thomas fell and hit his head really hard on a wooden chair. The fall caused a huge purple bump on the back of his head immediately and scimmed up his chin. It was bad enough that the doctor thought it was necessary to check his ears for blood. Which thankfully, there wasn't any of, but still. Worst mom ever!! :0(
We then took the boys to get their pictures taken. I made him sit through a 45 minute photo shoot on his birthday, which of course he hated by the end. The pictures went from great to bad to worse. :0)
Michael and I then took Thomas to Chuck E. Cheese where he inhaled 3 pieces of pizza, and had lots of fun playing basketball and riding rides.
He received lots of fun things from family. His favorite, however, is the plastic slide Michael and I got him. He went up and down that forever tonight.
After Chuck E. Cheese we came home and had cake and ice cream. He got to stay up till after 10pm, lucky boy!
Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you...
Getting ready to blow out the candle.
"All done! That was good!"Thomas you make our lives so complete. We can't wait to wake up in the morning to see what our sweet boy is going to do and learn. Thank you for the kisses and hugs. Thank you for telling me "Bless you" when I sneeze. Thanks for crawling into bed with me after you've climbed out of yours and snuggling. Thanks for making sure your little brother always has plenty of blankets and toys. Thanks for helping us remember to pray. Thanks for being you! You are already a example to us in so many ways. You make our life so rich. We love you!!
P.S. This picture is for Grandpa Cooper! PEEPS...

The Hunt
I took Thomas to an Easter egg hunt this morning at Saint Louis University. He liked to carry the basket all around. He wasn't quite sure what to do at first, but once I showed him that he was supposed to pick up eggs and put them in his basket, he had it down. He was racing around scooping up eggs. After all the eggs were gone, we went and waited in line to see the Easter bunny. He was very patient. It's fun to see his attention span and his patience increase as he's getting older. Maybe because it's a furry bunny and not a scary old man, but Thomas did much better with the Easter bunny than with Santa Claus. He stared at the bunny the whole time he sat on his lap. He was quite intrigued. Thomas decided that we needed to stop and play on a bench on the way back to the car. I think he just wanted to pose for more pictures. After Mommy woke up after working all night, it was time to dye some eggs. At first, Thomas held the eggs in the dye with his hand. You can see where he was holding the blue egg (the white spots.) At least he had a good grip. I think he had lots of fun dyeing the eggs.
After the Easter egg hunt, Thomas decided that he needed to carry his basket around all day. In fact, he took it to the store when I took him and Henry grocery shopping. He ended up leaving the basket in the car, but he made sure to bring his sunglasses in with him. The contents of his basket increased throughout the day. The sunglasses were part of the array. At one time today, Thomas found an old beanie and his Mommy's sunglasses and strutted around the house. I think it works for him. :)

Congratulations Michael!!
Today Michael was extended an offer for his first "real job" at a patent firm here in St. Louis. The firm is Harness Dickey and Pierce. (Website www.hdp.com). Michael could probably tell you more about the firm and what he will be doing if you care. But, the point is he has been given an amazing opportunity to work for a law firm after only his 1st year of law school, VERY RARE. I can't believe his first year of law school is almost over. Our family is SO blessed for him to have this opportunity!

Doctor Cooper and Smiley Boy
At such a young age Thomas has found his profession. I believe he wants to become a doctor. He found my stethoscope, and after just one time of showing him how to use it he is kinda obsessed with it. He walks around the house with it in his ears listening to his own heart. He will also come up to me saying, "Mommy heart" and want to put it up to my chest so he can listen to my heart, and say "baby heart" so he can listen to Henry's. The other day he also chased the dog's around the house saying, "doggy heart" wanting to listen to their heart. It was pretty precious.

Henry is very talkative these days as well cooing and gooing at you. You can oftentimes find a smile on his face and if you talk to him he will even laugh with you. Here's the latest.
