Wanna play outside?!

Yesterday was one of the first nice days that I had off, with nothing to do, and was able to take Hudson outside to play! He really enjoyed himself and it was fun to see him "play" outside for the first time. I can tell this summer is going to so much fun with Hudson, since he was too little to play last year! I already have a list started for things I want to do with Hudson as the weather continues to get nice. Here are a few pictures I captured today while we were outside.

First experience outside and with grass!

Enjoying the breeze!

Taste Test: Grass=yucky!!

Starting to get chilly!

Having so much FUN!!

9 Month Photoshoot

Time again for those milestone pictures.....9 months! I can't believe he is 9 months old already! Time sure has flown by. It is amazing how much better and happier Hudson has made our lives. We both feel blessed to be his parents and have such an amazing, happy-go-lucky little boy with quite a personality. We can tell he is definately going to be even more entertaining as he grows!

So the theme for Hudson's 9 month photoshoot was Spring and MARCH MADNESS....(of course), in honor of Daddy's Kentucky Wildcats. The picture turned out pretty good, but we couldn't get Hudson to smile at us for anything. Oh well at least he wasn't crying and he doesn't have to smile to be cute, it just comes natural to him...haha! Enjoy!

Bed Head....

Hudson is in desperate need of a haircut, but we wanted to get his 9 month pictures done before we got it cut! So needless to say his hair is a little crazy after naps and in the morning! Here are just a few shots of his bed head!!

GO KENTUCKY!! GO BIG BLUE!!

As most of you know, Don is a HUGE University of Kentucky Basketball Fan! Don has stuck with the team through all their ups and downs, so you can imagine his excitement with how well they are doing this season! He especially excited that he can deck himself and Hudson out in UK gear! I think Hudson has even more UK stuff that Don! Here are some pictures of Hudson and Don watching the game last Thursday night (2/25/10)

Our BIG boy!!

We can hardly believe that Hudson is getting closer to a year! I feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital! He is really getting big! Everyday he is doing new things and we realize he is less and less like a baby! It is exciting, yet a little sad for me! This month he has learned to clap his hands, he is starting to say more sounds, one of which is ma! I love it!!

Here are some pictures of our BIG boy!

Hardly a baby anymore!!

Hey mom look at me...SO BIG!!

8 Months....February 9, 2010

Hudson turned 8 months yesterday....it sure has flown by! Here is his monthly pictures on his Kentucky blanket!

January 2010

This post should allow me to get caught up with everything and hopefully keep me motivated to post regularly.

January has been an exciting month for Hudson. He has started doing so many new things this month! We are always encoraging him to do somehting new, and can't wait for him to meet another milestone, but when he does we get a little sad because we realize how quickly he is growing up!!

January 1: We officially have a crawler! After teasing us with it since nearing Thanksgiving, Hudson started the year off with a bang!!

January 9: Our Little guys is 7 MONTHS!! Holy cow!!

January 12: Hudson had his second PAT (Parents As Teachers) meeting! Julie, our educator, performed a developmental assessment and Hudson is right on track with everything! She was even suprised to see he had been crawling for nearly 2 weeks! Way to go Hudson!! Mommy and Daddy are so proud!!

January 13: Hudson completely shocked us when Hudson crawled over to his activity table and started pulling up to standing! WOW!! He has always loved to stand up with our assistance, but we were shocked with he did it himself!

Pulling up on his activity table.....such a big boy!!

So Proud of himself!!

January 21: Hudson had is 2nd Haircut! Man this kids hair grows like a weed!!

Other tidbits from the month of January:

Our little man can know feed himself, but he has his lazy moments where he still likes for mommy or daddy to hold the bottle for him!

Hudson's personality continues to develop. Don and I talk all the time about how lucky we are to have such a happy little guy! He hardly ever cries (unless someone he isn't used to his holding him....we are working on this, or it is naptime, which is getting better), he is always laughing, smiling, and babbling non-stop!!

Gracie our dog is starting to warm up to him! She has her days where she likes him and others where is snubs her noses to him. Still most of the time she keeps her distance!!

Grace playing with Hudson....WHAT?!?!

I think she changed her mind....she knows she is safe of the back of the couch! HAHA

Hudson also had his first experience playing with friends his own age! We had a get together with some friends at the end of January and all the kids came too! It was a good time and Hudson had fun!

Like I said earlier...nap time is getting a lot easier! After saying it for ever we finally got room darkening curtains hung in Hudson's room and for the past 1-2 weeks Hudson has been taking all of his naps in his crab rather than the swing (which he is now to big for...tear) or the pack n play in our room! After the first few days of adjusting we are finally having success and he hardly ever cries when we put him down!!

He hates his pack n play....we have since retired the pack n play

Napping on the couch with daddy while mommy is a work

Last but least....Hudson is almost offically reached the 22 lb weight limit for his infant car seat! Don and I had talked for months about getting one and were back and forth between so many different car seats! We research the safety ratings for many car seats and ended up finding one that had one of the best ratings and it was only $45, so we bought 3 (one for each car and an extra for the sitter/trips with family). Now we just have to get them installed! I am glad to because it is so hard for me to carry him in the infant seat!

I would say he is a little big for this seat wouldn't you?!?!

Hudson in his new carseat...too into Mickey House Clubhouse to look at mommy!

He finally looked....must have been a commercial!!

We thought this was Hudsons Last offical ride in he old seat,

but we need a pool noodle to put the new seat in!! Darn!

And here are some other random photos from the month!

Worn out!!

Playing in a pop up hamper....he laughed the whole time!

A new table from my grandma...
Hudson loves to crawl under it!

Sumo baby!!

What up!!

Probably screaming....one of his favorite things to do!! Ugh!

Excited for bathtime....look at that baby chunk!

At the end of his bath I took him out of his bath seat and let him slash in the water
He Loved it, but I still a little nervous to do this for his whole bath,
so we will stick with his bath seat a little longer!
Found a new way to play with his exersaucer!
