Top 10 Politically Correct Moments On College Campuses In 2008

The Young Americans Foundation has just released their top ten list of the most inane free speech moments on colleges campuses in the name of political correctness.

Number one will have you hanging your head in shame for our country.

Dear Alan Colmes

The point of undercover stings is to make sure people are doing their job.

These people are Planned Parenthood weren't doing their job. The "sting" worked. But you're going to criticize these young women for "taking up their time?"

How else does undercover journalism work, Alan? Or did they not teach you that in journalism school?

I hope that when you go on your next venture after you are done with the show that you keep that in mind.

I'm not kidding. Fox News videos can't be embedded, but here's a link of the transcript of the segment. I just sat there watching this and wanting to scream at my computer, "How the hell do you find out if these people are doing their job if you DON'T do stings like this and 'take up their time?'"

My brain almost exploded trying to wrap my head around his logic.

Other Changes

I decided to delete two of the blogs I started writing because, frankly, I couldn't write to them frequently enough to keep them around -- "The Media Made Me Do It!" and "A Script A Day." I may decide to do those again someday, but not now.

Also, as sort of a way to supplement my writing class that I'm taking this term, I decided to add another blog that I'm going to force myself to write to every day (like when I have some spare moments at night). This one is going to be more along the lines of writing my opinions on my time as an Avon Representative (sort of a supplement and extension to my "Personal" paper project). I figure it's one way I can promote myself, and also I can review products that I try on myself that are new. Haven't thought of a name yet, but I'll post the link under the "Pages I Created" section once it's up and running.

I Know, I Know...

I haven't written here for awhile.

I'm sorry. But an infant keeps you busy. Plus I've gone back to school this term. And I now have two ventures under my belt -- along with now being an Avon representative, I also do insurance transcription during the week as a second job. So far, neither job has brought in too much money yet, but I'm hoping...

Speaking of new ventures -- watch this space for a new one soon. I can't say too much about it yet, but soon you're going to see something different from different authors here at ConChrist for awhile until its official launch somewhere else. Once things are finalized and settled, I'll go into more detail about it.

In the meantime, I'll try to post more in my rare spare moments. I promise.
