I am so not a football fan. Like, not even a little bit. The only reason I am ever in the vicinity of a football game on tv even is because Nathan says if I sit on the floor in front of him he will rub my shoulders while he watches the game. So, aside from the fact that sometimes a tense moment of the game makes its way into the pressure he puts onto my shoulders...it's a good arrangement! So, no I am not a football fan at all....
UNTIL.....my sweet little guy put on a jersey! Cheering for Zachary is FUN! And he looks so stinking cute in his uniform! He had his first game last night, just a scrimmage, but it was fun to watch. Even though I really had no idea what was going on and struggled to keep my eye on my #85...I kept losing him! I had NO clue who had the ball or where it was most of the time either. I have a lot to learn :) Believe me, Nathan has *tried* to explain the game to me....which usually results in more frustration on my part, so I ask him not to. I never cared to understand before now. I was even a cheerleader in middle school....captain at that.
It was so funny to me right when they were about to start playing, and we finally spotted Zachary on the field, my dad said "Oh, he's a wide receiver." What? You know that just by looking at where he is standing?? I was informed later in the game he was playing corner. At least I *did* know that wide receiver and corner were the positions Zachary wanted to play...so I knew enough to be happy that was what he got.
Maybe I will learn something about the game during the season. Or maybe I will just have fun taking lots of pictures, eating nachos, and watching Zachary and his friends play. I took 74 pictures during the first game. I find that most of them looked the same. haha. So here are just a few.
That's Nicholas in the white shirt watching his brother play...he has play practice until 6 on game days, and games start at 5...so he just walked over to the field when practice was over and caught the end of the game.
Spectators :)
