Halloween

The kids didn't have any school on Friday and Aaron was spending Friday and Saturday at my parents to hunt and help with the butchering. So kids and I had a little 2-day-party! Jaci and Quian made their own costumes, and we all decided to suprise "Daddy" with a homemade costume to wear to the Trunk-or-treat when he got home--a brown recluse spider. We attached 4 extra arms/legs to one of his shirts, and attached a cut out of a violin to the back. We also made pinchers and were going to paint 4 extra eyes on his forehead. Unfortunately he did't get home until we had already left (that is why he is not in the picture). To our amazement he met up with us at the church with his Spider shirt on. We will be sure he his home for us to decorate next year. I have a feeling that making a costume for Daddy will be our new tradition we all look forward to (except for maybe Aaron)!

Teancum's Birthday

Teancum turned 1 on the 28th. The year blurred by much too quickly. We had a nice little party. He enjoyed the "Happy Birthday" song and being able to tear into his cake, until it would not let go of his hands. Surprisingly, he was very hesitant to unwrap his gift. (He is so quick and proficient at ripping books and magazines!)
