1/3 of Babyhood Has Come & Gone

Siquije is turning 4 months this week.  He is already a third of the way through his infancy.  I wish it would last at least a little longer. Anyhow, I thought I better take some pictures before he changed any more.  He's such a smiley little guy that pretty much smiles on demand....just not for pictures!  Oh well, he's still my little bundle of joy.

Teancum thought this seemed like a lot of fun and needed to sit in the Bumbo seat & pose as a baby as well.  He gives new meaning to the phrase "baby face!"

Officially Accountable!

Quian is now eight and Officially Accountable!  Quian was excited that Emily's family was visiting durring his Birthday--I was glad Emily could help me with the party!  In fact a pirate party full of rambunctious boys is so wild that I forgot to take pictures!
At the end of the Month, Quian was baptized.  We joke about feeling, acting, and looking older overnight when we have a birthday...but without exaggeration, Quian truly seemed different--more mature after he was baptized.  He is becoming quite the young Man.

Siquije's and Willam's Blessings

My sister, Emily, had baby William 2 weeks after Siquije arrived.  They are living in Boseman, Montana but came to Lewiston to bless the two babies together on March 6th.  We enjoyed the visit and being able to see little William when he was still new.

Siquije Endi

Precious are the lips fresh with Angle kisses
Precious are the eyes that glimmer in love

Precious are the hands holding tightly

Precious  is that moment between content and slumber

Precious are the feet that have yet to trod the earth
Precious is our Siquije

Our new Home

The ceilings are 9' 2" high up stairs and 6' 10 1/2" low down stairs. The wall color is called Sulfur; it glows psychedelic-canary in the compact florescent light at night
The greatest convenience, launder and bake while eating dinner at the table. The microwave is up there because it does not fit under the upper cupboards. We are happy to say that the laundry set works fine even after 6 years in storage.

This room was added on around the chimney. At least it was not hard to decide if it was going to be torn out some day.

Quian's bed no longer juts out from under Teancum's. Nor does Teancum feel as free to bail out from his bed, knowing that there is no soft bed to break his fall.

The next pictures demonstrate the vast amounts of work that were not done on behalf of the yard for over a year. The roses are still blooming though, there is hope for them.

Raeli's First Day of School!

It is Raeli's very first day of school! She has been waiting for this day for a very long time. Now that the day has finally arrived she is bursting with excitement, but the time until afternoon kindergarden is ticking away amazingly slow!

Bugs, and More Bugs!

We have come across some interesting bugs lately. We have never seen anything like them so we took some pictures and looked them up.
This is called a House Centipede
(I personally think it is very creepy...maybe because I found it in my house by my feet! It also makes sense that the more legs it has the creepier it is.)
Although creepy, it is harmless.
As you can see, the legs get progressively longer from front to back. The back legs were more than a couple inches long and stuck out behind it. They fell off when we dumped it out of the jar, so we think that they were used to get away from predators. Just like a lizard looses it's tail.
When Aaron and I were taking pictures of it, the bug came back to life. We would be in the middle of trying to take a close picture, and it would suddenly jump. To say the least, we jumped too but even higher!

This is called a Jerusalem Cricket

(Since it is here in the USA I wonder if it is a New Jerusalem Cricket rather than an Old Jerusalem Cricket?)

Although they are not poisonous, its been said that they have a "bad bite." (Is there such a thing as a good bite?)

The kids found it outside already dieing. Supposedly that is about the only time you see them because they are nocturnal and stay underground.

This is her over-the-shoulder- nonchalant pose.

We headed to Bozeman to visit Emily and Brian's family the end of July. While there, we went to the Gallatin National Forest to see some of the water falls. These are a few of the lower falls, the upper falls were not photographed due to the drunkards polluting the beautiful stone arch that the water falls beside and then back through. We all might look fine but, the trip had not even reached Montana before the throwing up started (in Amber's Van). Everyone felt some sympathetic tinge of the bug while we were there. Emily, however, demonstrated the greatest, most frequent sympathies. She is due February 4th, the day before Lana, and the thought of some one loosing it often sent her over the edge and into a bag. The next pictures were from our trip to Jellystone. See if you can pick out the one who does not enjoy siting in the back of the van due to greenness, or movement, or some thing like that.

These waterfalls were much bigger than the ones in Gallatin.

But the Canyon was bigger too. We went to the geysers and mud volcanoes too. Just did not take any pictures. We left the camera in the van. which in the end, was OK. While we were out, a large storm came when we were about a mile from the van and drenched us. As soon as we reached the lodge, the rain stopped, but by then the only dry things where what was left in the van.
We borrowed Amber's van to be able to bring Emily and Joseph back to Weippe for an Aultz reunion while Brian finished some tests. Remember the New Mexico rain that took out my big tent last year? Well we did not need to use it in Weippe last year because we stayed in a camp trailer. Everyone else lost their tent during two days of extreme! weather. This year, I could not find my repaired tent anywhere. Maybe you have it!? So I borrowed Dad's. Well, I (Dad) was the only one to have anything break this time, one steel pole, and two fiberglass ones. Jaci was the only kid not to sleep through the whole thing, and she just had to go potty.
