20 minutes of Heaven...for Ethan anyway.

We were going to go out for a drive this morning but while I was getting ready Ethan found something more entertaining and stayed there for quite some time so I just left him there until he decided to let me keep the door open.

Yes, I waited for him to put down the tampon to take this picture. Turns out he really like those things!

All Hallows Eve

Yet again another great spooky year.

We spent the morning in the fabulous Livestock Festival in beautiful Festival City! That's right, an entire festival dedicated to chicken, cows, sheep, and Ethan's personal favorite, tractors! He won't look at the camera because he just wants to chase the tractors down the street...and he did! We had to chase him down main street!
Even though he has been particularly clingy lately but the moment we get out he does NOT want to be around mom and dad! He was walking all over the place and making lots of new friends!
He not only liked this guys wheels but his dog was a big hit.
Good thing this lady kept saying how cute he was because he sure just sat down right next to her and say there for a good ten minutes too (which is like 3 hours to an adult)!
Of-course it wasn't too long he was out in a flash!
Good thing too because that night we put him through a fun costume party. We could not figure out how we wanted to dress up, but the night before we finally got it! A little black hair spray, a drawn-on stash, some gothy clothes, and waa-laa, we have...
The Addams Family Values! In case you haven't seen the movie, here is a picture of what we tried to recreate:
Father-Son:
Family shot...we are all goth if you couldn't tell!
Good one E-force!
Man am I glad I didn't put more stuff in my hair because it was a MESS!! It was all over everything! It was also real hard to scrub it out of Ethan's hair.

We actually had a lot of trick-or-treaters and it was great! We haven't had that in a long time so it was fun! I also remembered how I really don't like this holiday because of the creepy stuff but more so because I love candy and dressing up...so thanks whoever changed this to meet the needs of a crazy society; we enjoyed it this year!

Little Thug...and let's carve pumkins!

After I took this picture I couldn't help but think how much Ethan looks like Em n' Em on "8 Mile" with his little beany and his white skin and blue eyes! Oh my little man, let's hope your future is NOTHING like his! But I love you anyway crazy hat!
Ethan also loves the guitar. He climbed in and layed down and kept opening and closing the case, playing peek-a-boo. Of-course as usual I didn't get the camera in time and so he is doing his usual, "Nice try mom, but a little late on the camera grab!"
After baby was in bed we decided to carve pumkins...it was great!

Cec copied the face from the pumkin on our wall, and I went for the whole stick person dying theme. But both turned out fantastically scary!
See, we are scared!

Pumkin, meet Ethan

Ethan was playing outside by the pumkins and I guess he liked the big one a little too much and tried to slam his face in the stem as sign of affection...or aggression...no one really knows what is going on in the life of a one-year-old!
Anyway, I look over and he is screaming! I didn't really understand why until he calmed down a bit, but I say it just adds to the "real boy" look, although I can't say it does much when he turns around and you can see his rat tail...

Test Photo Shoot

We have been trying to take one-year pics for the boys so we started playing around with backdrops. This is what we found out of our old scrap material and this awesome hat we found at the DI and it fits Ethan perfect! Sorry you can't see well but I'm sure we'll get better...eventually.
Tip your hat
Oh yea!
Okay okay, so he really doesn't like the hat much, only because daddy wore it.
And the two charmers...there's a little for everyone!
