Dot to dot

Carter has just learned about dot to dots. He can do them, but the lines are so squiggly it's hard to see what the picture is.

Playing the Wii

Carter adores playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii. It's really the first game he's been able to play on his own (at least the first two levels). He likes to sit on our laps while he plays. If he could play this game all day, he would be ecstatic. It's the first thing he wants to do in the morning, and when he comes home from school.

Submarine ride

The submarine ride at Disneyland. Exciting-slash-scary when you're three years old!

Getting ready for Disneyland

We stopped to get coffee before heading into Disneyland and Carter is very excited.

Swimming lessons, round two

After the intense two weeks of swimming boot camp, I enrolled Carter in the much easier weekly lessons at the gym. The teacher is very gentle and doesn't even make him put his head in the water. As a result he has regressed and doesn't want to go in the pool at home anymore. Ah well. Next summer it'll be back to boot camp. Until them I'll keep him in the weekly lessons.

Here he is at the gym pool:

Awesome artwork

Carter's been super into writing his name, writing other words and drawing pictures lately. They're so cute I can't stand it. Now I'm stuffing them all into a folder, and can't wait for the day when he rolls his eyes as his mom drags out the 10-year-old artwork yet again and gushes over them.

"My House":

"The Mailman" (he also wrote his teacher's name, Miss Tara)

"A caterpillar, alien and spaceship" (Probably my favorite)

Rocket Man (my title, he didn't name this)
