Hi Grant!

Carter's cousin Grant Baxla was born on December 12, 2006. He and Carter had the same due date. I'm looking forward to the two becoming good friends. We think Grant looks like a young Michael Gambon, the British actor who plays Albus Dumbledore.

A good baby so far

Carter has been a well-behaved baby. He only cries when he's hungry, when he's getting a bath and when his handlers are changing his clothes. He cried a lot more the first three days when he wasn't getting enough to eat. Now he's happily settled on the road to baby obesity.

Welcome Carter

Carter Zane Peterson Layman was born on Dec. 20 at 3:19 a.m. He entered the world quietly, and didn't make a sound for several minutes as nurses cleaned out his airways. He was born with his umbilical cord wrapped tightly around the neck. Poor little guy, good thing he got out of there!

One day late so far

Due date passed on Dec. 16. This is getting ridiculous!
