Fresh & Unique

 photo freshlypickedmetallics-33.jpg

Guys, I want to win this. This giveaway from Freshly Picked got me to blog even! I haven't blogged in months and yet, here I am. That is how badly I want this. These moccs are a thing of beauty. I had a dream the other night and it went like this...Cade, Isla and I are on an awesome road trip together. Somehow we are able to visit all of my dream destinations just by driving along the California Coast. It's pretty cool, albeit geographically impossible. I don't know how it happens, it just does, mmmkay. The weather is perfect, not too hot, not too cold. We drive with the windows rolled down and Nixy, LOVES it! (Oh, yeah. Nix is on this road trip too...kitty wanted to stay home though) Cade is driving and bobs his head and taps his fingers to the beats of the perfect road trip mix. I'm leaning back with my feet resting on the dash. The sun is shining and warms my face as I wave my hand out of the window and let the wind whip my hand up and down. We never have to fill up our gas tank.(well, we probably did once at the beginning...lets not get too crazy!) We don't have to get back to work, or school, we have unlimited time off. Money isn't an issue either, we are able to do what we like and we're not held back at all! We eat whatever we like and can't seem to put on a single pound! Oh, and did I mention, we are all rockin' freshly picked moccs!? Isla looks the best in them, though. Adults don't really wear Freshly Picked, but it's a dream so those things happen, ya know? Yeah, Freshly Picked moccs are the good things that dreams are made of.

seesaw design + giveaway

One of my favorite gifts this christmas was from one of my favorite blogs, Seesaw Design. Not only is their blog super inspiring, but they create and print so many lovely things. This is their 2011 calendar. Isn't it pretty? I love letterpress. The process, the look, everything. This was printed in a metallic foil and warm grey. Such a great combo.

When I was looking at their blog yesterday I saw they were doing a giveaway for an awesome houndstooth bag by Quote.

I entered to win of course, but thought I'd share with my friends the coolness of Seesaw Design and the giveaway. Wouldn't this be a great bag for my last semester of school! I think so.

p.s. Happy 1.11.11!

After Christmas, Christmas...

Photobucket
Even though Christmas just barely happened and I got MANY awesome gifts from awesome people. I couldn't resist grabbing myself two books I've been wanting for a while. If you'll remember I entered in a giveaway from Chronicle Books to win 500 dollars worth of books, but alas I did not win. Ever since I made that list I just couldn't help but keep thinking back on all those cool books I almost could have had. I got an email the other day with a 35% off discount code for Chronicle Books AND its free shipping until the end of the year. I couldn't resist. So these 2 little beauties are heading my way right this very moment. If you want to take advantage of this cool yule deal, the code is YEAREND.

Happy Haul-idays!

This morning as I was clicking through my usual morning reads I discovered an awesome giveaway! The Chronicle Books Happy Haul-idays giveaway! For those of you who don't know Chronicle Books is based in San Francisco and they produce some of the most beautiful books ranging from design, to cooking to hiking.
The giveaway works like this, bloggers post a list of items from Chronicle (valued up to $500) which automatically enters them in a drawing to win their haul, then if my blog wins one of my readers/friends/family, who commented on the post will also win my list! So hopefully my list tickles your fancy! For more details click here.

Below is my wishlist, comment below and you could win my list as well! Winners will be announced on December 13th. Some books are more random than others, but that's what makes it fun!
