Temple Square Lights

We went the other night out to dinner then to the lights with a couple of Brian's mission companions. It was cold but always a treat to see the lights!

My cute cousin Kendra's Wedding

So Brian and I had the opportunity last weekend to go California for my cousin's we had so much fun and worked really hard to help them out with the flowers and the reception. She was so beautiful and everything turned out great. Here is a few pictures from our little trip...

So funny story, we were taking pictures right before the ceremony of me and Brian and afterwards we walked through those gates behind us hoping that they lead to the front door. Well this temple doesn't have a "front door" its a side door that you really go through to get in that we figured out after searching for a "front door." Best part was there are these fake front doors that are locked and after we were inside the temple we walked past them inside and found people trying to get in just like we were, through the fake front doors. It made me laugh and feel a lot better that we weren't the only ones that couldn't find the front door! So just make a note that the Oakland Temple doesn't have front doors and don't make the same mistake as us and try to find them, they are on the side.

Chinatown in San Francisco was quite an adventure and parking was nuts

We also had the chance to see Alcatraz, so don't be alarmed, Brian didn't
break any laws while we were there except for maybe running a few red
lights, did I mention driving in San Francisco is crazy.....

This is us at Alcatraz waiting for our boat back to San Francisco. We were so wet from the rain! It was good going through the buildings, but when we had to walk out side it was pouring rain...so don't go on the Alcatraz trip if its supposed to rain, its just no good

Our 1st Christmas Tree

The first week of December Brian and I went on the search for our first tree. To be sentimental we had originally planned on getting one from a business near where we first met, that we could see from the windows of the physical therapy, but that tree seller is no longer selling where they were last year. So we went to practically every place we could think of and finally found the perfect one. So here are some pictures, we are pretty excited about our cute little tree! (Beware of buying a real tree, they can bring in little bugs inside your home.....when we brought ours inside we discovered a black widow!!! Kinda scary!)

Grandma Venna Haws Bascom

My Grandma Bascom was one of the best grandmas anyone could ever ask for! She was such a hard worker and always gave 110% of herself to those around her. She was so kind and compasionate. I look up to her so much and hope that someday I can be a lady like her. On Thursday, Nov. 13th she passed away, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. I will be forever grateful to her for the love and all of the sacrifices she has made for us. We love you Grandma!

HE LOVES ME Floral & Design

I have my own business that is for floral design. It is called He Loves Me Floral & Design. I just did a wedding this last weekend and it turned out great! I absolutely love doing floral design especially for weddings. The night before I pick up the flowers I get so excited like a kid gets excited the night before going to disneyland. I had so much fun and I am so happy how everything turned out! Here is a picture from one of the many arrangements that I did, more pictures will be posted on my business blog which is helovesmefloral.blogspot.com. So if anyone needs a good florist for any occasion let me know!

Sooooo we got a PUPPY

Here is our Rookie

She is so cute and fun to cuddle with! But don't let this fool you, she can definitely be a terror! She has so much energy, so much that I don't know where she gets to be as crazy as she is. She runs so fast and brian trys to run her around the back yard to make her tired so she will settle down and cuddle with us instead of being crazy before bed time. She is getting big quick, my mom hasn't seen her for two days and noticed a difference in size. I love having a puppy and hope it doesn't go away too fast! We have been interested in getting a puggle puppy but didn't think we would get one as soon as we did. We first saw pictures of her on ksl and decided to drive to spanish fork to see her a week before she would be available. When we got there the owner said that she would be willing to let us take her that day so we wouldn't have to drive back. She was so cute and we just couldn't leave without her. She was the most mellow out of the group and just came up to me and just sat and looked while all the other puppies were tearing at my pant legs. It is so fun having a puppy in our house and we are doing a good job training her. One of my favorite things about her is that she knows our voices and misses us when we are away!

Look What I came home to.....

It was such a surprise! I love brian!

Chicago

Yesterday Brian, his brother Drew, and his dad Ron, flew out to Chicago to go to a Bears game. This Brain's family's favorite NFL team. The boys have wanted to go to a game for such a long time. The game is on right now and I should be wearing my jersey in support but i just can't seem to find it... I hope that they win and I hope that the boys are having a good time in Chicago! While Brian is gone, I am cleaning the inside and outside of our new place to rent. Its a cute home, just needs some work to get it in shape for us to move in. Hopefully I can get it all done so that when Brian comes home all of the work will be done and we will be move in. It will hopefully be a big surprise for him!

Halloween

So this Halloween Brian and I first had a pumpkin carving contest, we hired only the best judges, our niece and nephew Riley and Kayden. After the pumpkin carving, Brian and I went down to my parents house and dressed up as Bell the princess and her prince for Riley because she loves princesses. So Riley and Kayden came down and went trick or treating to my parents house and Brian and I opened the door as Bell and the prince. Riley had such a big smile on her face, it was a fun surprise. We then went trick or treating with the kids to a few houses. Finishing the night off with a scary moving. It was a good Halloween!

October Nights

This October we have been busy here is a couple of things that we have been able to do. We went to Lagoon Frightmares with Brian's mission companion and his girlfriend and our friends Justin and Tawsha. It was so much fun! We played some of the games to win prizes and I tipped over the most milk bottles out of the girls, but when it came to speed of throwing, mine wouldn't even register haha! Brian's work met a goal and took them to this halloween place that had a swamp ride, zip lines, and a haunted forest. The swamp ride was awesome the driver would go right through bushes, we would almost run into trees, and the vehicle floats in the water as well as drives on land it was pretty cool. We went through a haunted forrest it was set up pretty good, but i am the biggest wimp. I get so scared so easily! The best part was the zip line. I have never done a zip line before and it was so fun! Here are some pictures....

UTAH vs. OREGON

Here are some pictures from the best game so far this year!  It was fun because for the last quarter of the game we were able to go and sit with the players' family section with Janey (Mike Wright's Mother)  Brian's Mom and brother Drew were there also.  It was a game that was fun to watch because Utah was down by 8 with 2 minutes left and they came back and won by a field goal!

Bountiful 24th of July Parade

So this is my favorite thing about July is the parade in Bountiful. Every year we have gone to it since I was little. My mom reserves a spot on the route that we always go to. It is my favorite family tradition. This year we had cousins from Arizona, California, and Utah that came. It was fun to have Brian's side of the family come too with my side so we were all together! I love sitting with all of the little cousins in our family and help them with the candy, it is seriously so fun for me! After the parade we went up with Brian's family to fireworks and his mom got the best spot! I love this time of year!

Days of 47 Rodeo

Brian has been begging me to go to the rodeo and of course I wanted to go as well so one night I made dinner and had everything planned to surprise him and go to the rodeo, I had my mom secretly hide a cowboy hat and shirt for Brian for him to bring home that day without knowing and it went well! It was funny when I told him where we were going he started jumping around our apartment like a little boy he was so happy!

Singing for the Bees

So this is the second time this year that my mom and I have sang the national anthem for the Salt Lake Bees. They liked us and had us come back. It was fun to have both our families there as well as all of Brian's buddies that showed up! Here is a couple pictures...

4th of July

Centerville parade with my family...we went to the chuck wagon breakfast and then the parade after...this is with my brother John

Just waiting for the fireworks to start...

The Stadium of Fire....Brian and I went with my family down to provo with my family and with the one and only Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana...They had the blue man group which was really cool to watch, but it was hard to pay attention when Miley was on stage, maybe if I was 10 years old I would be loving it, but that is a stretch. My parents got us a Marriott hotel room to stay in which was sweet and we woke up early the next day and went to the hot air balloon festival.....

The Nelson's had us join on a fun double date to the bees game with fireworks after! It was a nice date night and fun to be with other newly weds!

Honeymooners.....

We went to Cancun Mexico! It was both beautiful and hot! We went para sailing, snorkeling, swimming, shopping, laying out, and having fun.....We stayed at an all inclusive resort which was cool cause we had restaurants within the resort that we could go to and not worry about bringing the wallet. I want to go back someday, that probably won't be soon...

Pre Wedding....

This was taken right after I went through the temple for the first time.
I am excited to be able to it more often with Brian!

My cousin Laura, my Grandma Bascom and I. Our Grandma made blankets for all of her grandchildren when they get married. Grandma Bascom is an amazing lady who I look up to and want to be like someday! Laura and I got married within 2 weeks of each other and had a bridal shower together. It was fun to be planning everything for the wedding at the same time. She also had one of her receptions at my parents house. It was cool to be going through the same experiences at the same time. Ps. I know I look like I am a different race, but I promise we are from the same family!
