Nielson Party

On Saturday all of Brad's family came over for a early dinner. It was so fun being all together. It's not often that everyone is together so it was a house full with 24people there. The weather was so nice that the kids ate outside and played all afternoon on the trampoline. On pervious years we would have snow by now. I have really enjoyed the fall weather.

Halloween

Ryker and Conner had a great Halloween. They really only went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood for about a half an hour but they were happy. We have had both Brad's parents and mine here for the babies being born so they stocked the boys up on lots of candy. Ryker was a pirate and Conner was a lion.

Conner and I went and watched Ryker's Kindergarten class sing at the nursing home. It was very cute! Poor kids were so hot, they have the heat cranked so hot in there.

3 new baby cousins

We have had three new babies born this past week. Brad's sister (Michelle) had a boy named Bronson. His brother (Greg) had a girl named Caylee, and my sister (Tiffany) had a girl named Holland. They are all so little and cute.

Caylee Nielson and Bronson Klingler- these two were born just a day apart

Conner is Potty Trained

Way to go Conner!!!!
He actually was an easy kid to potty train. I think watching an older brother helped. He went to nursery a couple weeks ago and they let him try standing up and aiming, lets just say they had a big mess to clean up afterwards(the leader who let him was young without any kids). It takes skill and more practice before we advance to that. We are so proud of you Conner!!

Carving Pumpkins

So true to course we carved pumpkins this year with both my sisters and there kids. Conner loved the squishy guts and seeds of the pumpkin. I think I could have left him there for most of the afternoon and he would have been content. Ryker wasn't as thrilled with getting the gross stuff out. They did have a lot of fun and there pumpkins turned out cute.

Ultrasound

If you didn't know, were expecting again. I am 21 weeks (5 months). Today we found out that we are definitely having a GIRL!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!! I am already planning on all the redecorating I get to do in the nursery as well as all the cute girl clothes and accessories I get to buy. Any of you mother of girls let me know good places to find girl things. Brad is nervous...Girls are a whole different story than boys. He already bought her her first John Deere hat (it's pink and john deere green). I know he will look good in Pink. We are thrilled with the changes it will bring, well most of us, Ryker is still a little unsure about strawberry shortcake and princess stuff.

Ryker's 5th Birthday

Opening presents before Dad left for work

Ryker received mostly transformer toys, he was thrilled with the helmet from Grandma Sillito that made his voice sound like "Optimus Prime." (If your a mother of boys you may know who that is, I just found out myself!!)

I am not the most creative person, but the bat turned out to be a success. He did want a transformer cake but with me that's asking the impossible!

Lunch is served

One Saturday Brad and I were outside with the boys doing yard work. It got to be lunch time and the boys were too hungry to wait for me to make anything. Brad and I were called inside for lunch and this is what they served.

Ryker's 1st Day of School

Ryker and Conner

Sometimes a mom just needs to dress up her boys and take pictures. I actually enlarged and framed a couple of these. I have such handsome boys, but I'm partial.

Grandpa & Grandma Sillito visit

August 2008
My parents came to Rexburg to visit my two sisters and I and our families. We had a wonderful time going to the lake, mini golfing, eating, going to Bear world and just spending time outside playing.

The motorcycle

August 2008
Just a few pics of the boys learning how to ride there motorcycle. We have farm boys and this comes with it, even though it makes me nervous.

Ryker's soccer game

August 2008
We signed Ryker up to play soccer this summer. He started out a little unsure of all the rules. For example, when the ref would blow the whistle to stop the game due to it being out of bounds, Ryker would keep on kicking the ball all the way down the field till he scored a goal. By the end of the season he got really good and ended up scoring 4 goals over all.

4th of July at the farm

Our family went to the Nielson's to celebrate Lana's(Grandma's) 5oth Birthday. We were there for the 4th and had a wonderful time. All of Brad's sibling and there families (expect for one brother-in-law) were there. That's a big deal knowing that there are 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Ryker and Conner loved being on the farm and doing boy things. The loved seeing all there cousins and spending time together.
I hope to be able to do that again soon!!!!

My Aunt's Wedding

June 2008
My sisters and I took a quick road trip to Cardston, Canada for my Aunt Tricia's wedding. It was short-but a lot of fun. I can't remember the last time and spent a whole weekend with my sisters. Of course, because we are our mothers daughters, we had a car full of good snacks. I was able to also see both my brothers and my parents. Also my Grandma and many many aunts, uncles and cousins.

STICKY

Conner enjoyed the taste of the powdered sugar so much, he bathed himself in it.

Trip to Grandma & Grandpa Nielson's

Since it's April and the snow hasn't completly melted, Brad hasn't started farming. It has been really nice because he took off 2 or 3 weeks and got some stuff for me done around the house. He was staring down another week of more honey do's so we packed up and headed to his parents house instead. We had such a fun week. Candice and Blake were on spring break so it was good timing. We went fishing ( well if you consider the fact that they had the poles, water and a boat- but know fishing line). That played in the sand hills, rode tractors and had a hot dog and smore roast. How can you compete with farm life. The boys were in heaven. Grandma made Ryker anything he requested. We had a wonderful time.

Easter Sunday

Doesn't Ryker look thrilled to be all dressed up. The past couple months Ryker has become very paticular about what he wears. He thinks if his jeans have holes in them that he is cool. He is constantly saying "Mom, I don't like that, it doesn't make me look cool." How does a 4 year old know anything about being "cool?" At a young age he would tell me if he liked what I was wearing or not. He notices when I get my hair colored or cut. I thought I would always be able to pick out his clothes and dress him how I would like, boy was I wrong. I still win when it comes to church or anything I don't want him looking like a homeless child for, but this is the look I usually get. Aren't my boys handsome!!

Trip to Grandma & Grandpa Sillito's

The boys and I as well as my sister Courtney and her daughter Taylee drove to Boise and flew the rest of the way to Seattle. We were quite the show for everyone at the airport. The two of us trying to keep 3 little ones happy as well as juggle all the luggage. We were tired and were very relieved when we finally made it to my parents house. We surprised my dad for his 60th birthday. Many of my aunts and uncles as well as my Grandma also came to surprise him too. We had such a fun time. The boys enjoyed every minute of it. Grandma of course spoiled them as usual. Since there was still snow at our house the boys loved being outside in the 50 degree weather, it felt tropical after being in Rexburg.

Big surprise, another injury

Everyone who knows Conner well suggests that he wear a helment at all times. He has had previosly stiches, cuts, bruises, sprained ankle, many bloddy noses and bloody lips. These pictures are from a simple rug burn. It probably would have healed quickly but Conner picked and picked at his scab. His chin looked like this for almost a month. Finally, my sister-in-law Heather suggested liquid band-aid which finally healed the nasty chin. His chin still gets bright red when it's cold outside. A couple days ago we made the boys beds into bunk beds. We have had several injuries from both boys already. I guess thats what having a boy is all about. I use to get queasy with all the blood, now that it's almost a daily occurence I've gotten tough. It makes Brad proud!!

Conner's 2nd Birthday (Just 2 months late)

Conner turned 2 the end of December. He had Lightning McQueen cupcakes ( well kinda). We went sledding on his birthday. He was so worn out, that we found him passed out in the sled while it was snowing. Poor kid! He has definatley been in and out of the terrible two's for awhile. He is gaining quite a personality and has been so funny. Conner knows how to "work" his mama. He still cuddles and kisses me often. Just latley he has really enjoyed playing and pretending with Ryker, they play well most of the time.
