Meeting Molly

Image
On Monday morning we drove to Tracy to meet Molly and her younger kids at a bouncy place.  Molly had some car key problems, so it was just me and the kids for a while.  They had a blast! Trying out the wind tunnel :)  And they made (and destroyed) a cool house :)  When Molly got her we were off and talking right away of course!  I really wish we lived closer!  It's so hard to find time with our busy lives to talk on a regular basis, but every time we get together we just pick right back up where we left off.  I'm so thankful for her friendship. After the bouncy place, we had a picnic at a park in Tracy and unfortunately the kids got a little bored so we couldn't stay and talk as long as we wanted to.  But it was still a great few hours with her and her adorable Carter and Kate!

Livermore Stop

The next day we drove to Livermore and started with swimming at the Becerras!  This was a total treat as it was still April and in Utah April does NOT equal swimming weather! So fun to be with cousins! The adults went to dinner (minus Paul who was on one of his work trips).  I'm always up for sushi! I went running the next morning by some of the Livermore vineyards, and of course took a bunch of pictures for my running account lol McDonalds for lunch because of course ;)  cute cousins and a great Poppy :)  After lunch it was more swimming! The next day, we went to church and then headed to the Becerras for family dinner.  The kids were very into watching Star Wars The boys and I took a little walk to the park. And I finally got to meet Claire!  She is such a cutie! Erik's flight was that evening, so the kids and I headed back ...

Jelly Belly Factory

For our day with Erik in Stockton, we chose to go to the Jelly Belly Factory (so actually not Stockton I guess haha).  It's about a 40 minute drive and always a must do for the kids when we are visiting :)   They've change the tour so many times, and now it's really just a self guided walk above the factory with a stop at different videos about the history of the company.  One thing you definitely take away from this tour though is how much Ronald Reagan loved Jelly Belly and vice versa haha  Ah the good ol' days when American presidents didn't make me feel 100% sick to my stomach.  I had to take a picture next to the gummy rats.  That's become a family joke that I was so desperate for a pet (I think I was like 9 years old?) that I bought one of these candy rats with  my money and then wouldn't ever eat and just carried it around for days.  I named it, would pet it . . . was my only chance to have a pet haha  It fin...

HAMILTON DAY!!!

Image
April 19th was such a great day for me, and it's fun looking at the pictures and re-living it!  I left  Stockton about 10ish I think to pick up Erik from the airport in Oakland.  We debated back and forth whether we should take BART into San Francisco or drive and park.  We also were trying to figure out what to do in the city before Hamilton started.  I knew a segway tour would be fun again, so we looked up what was available.  The tour we booked was called Warf to  . . . something I can't remember what it was called, because basically Erik and I were the only ones in the tour and could choose where to go with our guide! It was such a beautiful day in the city!  I feel like you never know if it will be foggy and cold, or sunny and beautiful . . . we got sunny and beautiful! Segway outfit on! :) Oh yeah, because I was wearing birkenstocks and you have to wear closed toed shoes with this company, I had to borrow a pair of their crock...
