Early Christmas, What?!

Ok, ok, calm down, we didn’t open all our presents just one each. You Can do that when you’re married. Today being Saturday and not having anywhere to go or anything to do we lounged around most of the day until Mike said, “wanna open one of your Christmas presents?”. Of course I said yes. Now before you freak out let me explain that the present he wanted me to open was very heavy, and since we’re taking our Christmas down to salt lake with us he didn’t want to haul it down. I opened it and was so happy, he got me a computer desk. for those of you who haven’t been to our home, i was using a rectangular card table for my computer, and it was starting to bow in the middle from lack of support. So it was about due. He even told my dad not to give me a 2X4 if I asked for one. I let him open one of his too, but he wasn’t nearly as excited as I was, anyway enjoy the pics

Family Parties abounding

In the last couple of weeks we’ve been to many family parties, all very fun. We went to Bingo, the enchilada party, and the Bjarnson family party with Mikes immediate family. We had lots of fun, hauled in some good prizes from bingo, ate delicious homemade oreos, and Mike danced with Abby as featured below.

Abby would would strike a pose and Mike would catch her. Then she would gracefully put an arm out, and she would never brake face, serious dancers don't smile.

After all the festivities, came the pie!! Everyones favorite part at the Bjarnson house because Dawn makes the BEST pie. Joslynn grabbed Abby’s crust and decided she’d like to have some pie too. The whole night was so much fun.

Finals, finally here. . .

The long awaited time of the semester is here, Finals week. After a fun night of BINGO at grandma LaRille’s house with much food and fun, we stayed the night at my parents house and drove back to a cold, but not snowy logan. On Monday Mike had a final and, I went to a super productive study session and then worked out. Later my wonderful husband asked me out on a date for family night. We’ve heard raves about how mike looks so much like Matt Damon in the Borne Ultimatum, so Mike took me to see it after we went to Chili’s for dinner. By the way Chilis has this white chocolate substitute to the Molten Lava cake, give it a chance you might like it, I did. The whole night was so much fun, plus the movie tickets were $3 a piece! The theatre is in North Logan. The whole night was so much fun and Mike planned it all, what a stud! Today we still have no snow and I had a final this morning at 7:30AM!! No fair, I didn’t sign up for a 7:30 class for a reason. After my final I snuck in and back out of the house to go Christmas Shopping. Super fun! I have my Juries on Thursday (pray for me!) and my Vocal Ped final on Friday (again, pray for me) Mike has his next and last final on friday also. I’m sure he’ll do well but say a prayer for him anyway. This week has been 16 weeks coming, funny how we had all that time to study effectively and prepare and suddenly it’s the week before finals and we all start to cram, why don’t we use the week we’ve been given to really know the information? I’m not sure I’ll ever really know, but I’m a great crammer! so I think I’ll just stick with what works. After Friday we get a couple weeks off, hooray!

The First Snowfall

Technically this isn’t the first snow it’s the first to stick, so it snowed all night last night a little bit this morning. I woke up to a blanket of white all over my car! It was pretty to look at but not really to clean off. Today I’ll blog and do some RA stuff while i listen to my favorite kind of music, Christmas!! Tonight I have a concert. It’ll be recorded to be played on the radio on Christmas Eve (I think). Christmas is such a great time for music, we have another performance on monday the school is receiving a donation and we’ve been asked to sing. Then on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we have concerts. Music, Music, Music, it is so lovely. We’re going to salt lake this next weekend, i’m so excited to be with family we’re drawing names for Christmas and having FHE, all together, this will be the first of the large family home evenings that Mike and I will get to go to. It should be fun. Have a happy day!

CHRISTMAS is COMING

During thanksgiving break Mike and I went down to Salt Lake to be with our families. The Bjarnsons have the tradition of cutting down their own christmas trees. Super fun! We left in the morning, drove for a long time, and when we finally stopped, we began our search. We looked for-ev-er. Until finally in the deep not so dark woods we found our tree! It’s so beautiful. Not only did we get our christmas tree over the break but my dad took me shopping for some new clothes, it was awesome! (and much needed) That same day, black friday, Mike and I went to a few stores and got some christmas presents for super inexpensive. In the words of Amber “What a Deal!”

Above, is what we did for family night. We went to the store and bought the decorations for our tree. When we got home Mike put the lights on, we were two strands short, while I made dinner. He and I together put the town together, and put the bulbs on the tree. What a fun night.

I finally gave in and started a blog. Maybe it’s one of those trendy things that will stick around, like email, or good friends or even better a spouse!
