Brrrrrr...it's cold up there!

About a week ago, Sarah and Chance finally received a letter from the Apache tribal court stating that a hearing for McKai's adoption was set for Friday Feb. 27th. So, on Thursday afternoon Bradock, Raylee and I packed in Sarah and Chance's truck to head up to Pinetop for the hearing. My mom and dad have been getting lots of snow up there, so we had to pack extra warm.

Here's a pic of Mr. B waiting in the truck at the Apache court house. The hearing wasn't quite what we expected. It looks like the tribe wants their social workers to do a inspection of Sarah and Chance's home and then they can set a final court hearing. The judge said they would have the final court date in a year. That kind of shocked and disappointed us all, but Sarah and Chance were able to file a petition to expedite the process, so hopefully we will see things move a little quicker. We will continue to pray for our sweet little McKai to legally be apart of our family.

Friday night Brett finally joined us in cold country and him and the kids had a fun day in the snow on Saturday.

Bradock and Raylee were having so much fun sledding.

Hello?...Hello?

After they got bored of sledding, Bradock and Dad decided to build the best "Frosty" the snowman ever! Bradock kept telling me that when we got to Mamaw's and Papa's house that he was going to build a snowman just for me and she was going to be pretty. Then he would build one for dad and it would be handsome.

These two loved eating snow.

Rain, Rain Go Away...

So we can climb Grandma and Papa's trees again.

And enjoy the beautiful, warm, sunny days again.

So we can dress up as Bumblebee and go everywhere (and I mean everywhere) with that funny mask on.

Sometimes They Can Be Nice...

But not often enough:( These sweet moments when I see these two getting along or hear them giggling together sure make me happy because "sweet" wouldn't quite be the word I would use to describe their relationship. I'm hoping they will grow out of it (really soon), but until then I will take the good times when they come.

Mr. B and Ray getting all their giggles out before bedtime.

On a side note, I have been loving that Raylee now repeats some of the words you say during prayer time. So, the other night, I was praying with her before bedtime and I said "Please bless Raylee to continue to be healthy and strong"...next thing I know Raylee has unfolded her arms, flexed her little biceps and made a low "GRRRRRR" sound. I almost couldn't finish the prayer because I started laughing at this funny, little girl. I love to play with the kids and have them show me how strong they are and both Bradock and Raylee show off their muscles and make that low "GRRRRRR" sound. I just can't believe she picked up on the word "strong" in the prayer. Just goes to show that they really do listen and that they are paying attention to everything you say and do.

Why We Love AZ in January

The weather has been so nice these past couple of days that we have been enjoying some fun in the sun. Including:
A little picnic lunch outside.

And swinging on our homemade tree swing

Raylee is slyly stealing her dad's truck keys in this pic. I don't know where her obsession with keys has come from, but she can throw one mean little tantrum if you take them away from her.

Smart little cookie trying to unlock the truck.
