Well, what would Thanksgiving be without the good old Turkey Trot? This was my 6th year running in it. Brett and I ran it for the first time just a few weeks after we were married and decided it would be a tradition. Unfortunately, it's only been a tradition for me because Brett has bailed out ever since. I'm going to have to work on him next year. I was so happy my mom decided to run it with me, though. For being 56, she is one fit, good looking woman. I am so proud of her for running the entire 10K and finishing with a good time. We had a lot of fun and Bradock loved seeing all the people; he starts kicking his legs and arms in excitement. Well, we had a great Thanksgiving with Brett's family out at his Uncle Jack and Aunt Jen's house. All of the kids loved the horses and Bradock had his first horse ride with dad. We feel so lucky to have been so blessed this year and are thankful for all of our wonderful friends and family. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Before and After

We finally got Bradock's 6mo. pics back from Steve Nissle and they turned out so cute!! On Saturday, I was getting my hair done and I got a call from Brett. He wanted to know if he could just "TRIM" (I can't stress this enough) Bradock's sides up. Bradock's hair grows so fast, so we are usually giving him weekly trims, so I said sure. Well, as you can see in the photos Bradock got a lot more than a trim. He looks so grown up now and it has taken me a few days to warm up to the sight of him with no hair. As Terri, my mother-in-law said, "Hair or no hair you can't take away that cute smile and adorable eyes." He is definatley one cute baldy. Oh and never trust your husband when he says "Just a Trim".

Happy Anniversary

Today Brett and I have been married 5 YEARS!! I cannot believe how fast time flies. It seems like yesterday that we were just dating, but then it's also hard to remember him not in my life. I feel so unbelievably lucky to have such a wonderful best friend. Never in a million years would I have ever thought Brett and I would have ended up being eternal companions, but the Lord has a much bigger plan for each of us. Brett is the sweetest, most caring/giving/loving human being I have ever known. I don't even know how I ended up being so lucky, but I thank the Lord everyday that he is the man I get to journey this life with. As I was looking at our engagement and wedding pics, I had to start laughing. It's pretty sad that neither one of us look any different than we did five years ago. Of course, I have gone through a few different hair colors and styles, but we pretty much look the same. Maybe by ten years Brett will have the grey hair he is dying for (I love a man with grey speckled hair) and I will have long, beautiful blonde hair (in my dreams).

Ride'em Cowboy

This weekend we headed up to Pinetop to see mi padres. On Saturday my dad and Brett went golfing that morning and then met my mom, Bradock, and I in Taylor, AZ for the 1st Annual Cody Hancock Invitational Bullriding competition. We are related to Cody Hancock, who was the National Bullriding Champion in 2000. All 37 of the bullriders were either World Champions or cowboys going to the NFR finals this year. It was a lot of fun. Last year my fam went to the NFR in Vegas and had a total blast. So, of course we have decided to go again. We will be heading up to Vegas the first weekend in December. I am so not a cowgirl, but I sure love a good rodeo (I really can't wait to see my cute hubby in his tight wranglers-what a hottie).
