summer update.

I know it's been forever since i have posted anything! i feel somewhat obligated sometimes, kind of like this blog is a school assignment... i feel like i have to come up with awesome and creatively written posts. i fear that facebook has made me lazy! one sentence two or three times a week on facebook is much easier than an entire post with pictures :) but i must not give up on this blog because i know that some of you out there genuinely care about my life!! So let's see... here is a list of our latest happenings

*Now that it is summer my nights are open and I am loving it!!
*Mikkel is enjoying his job but now works most nights and gets home around 8:30. I'm sure he's thrilled that he doesn't have to watch my shows with me! He still asks who got sent home though :)
*I have more energy now that it is summer! not sure why because the heat usually does the opposite to me!
*I am currently on my last episode of Desperate Housewives on Netflix and fear that when I've watched them all i wont know what to do with myself!
*We went up millcreek canyon with some friends last weekend and took Sadie... She was so freaked out by the fire we had to put her in the car the entire time!
*Sadie is getting more and more crazy excited in public and feels the need to personally lick or touch EVERY person in site! (Orem summerfest was too overwhelming for her and us)
*My sister, Shannon and her kids came to visit for an entire week! We managed to fit in swimming, eating out, movies, lagoon, parades, fireworks, and shopping, and of course lots of laughs!
* We went to a late night showing of the movie Bridesmaids, we both ordered a large bag of popcorn, and laughed our heads off! It is an excellent movie!
*We still have yet to finish painting our house! (a project we started a year and half ago) The half painted wall leading to our upstairs is growing on me! it's very abstract yet beautiful! I kid, I kid, we have big plans to finish it next weekend or the weekend after that...
*We finally have Mikkel's Audi paid off! That thing is the biggest money sucker! We could have done so many things with the amount of money we have put into it!
*We have been to our pool several times this summer and can i just say that everything is better when you are tan! seriously!
*I have taken the scissors to 3 pairs of old pants (the ones that flared way too much at the bottom) and have turned them into cute knee shorts!
*Mikkel recently informed me that he does not like my cut off denim shorts! I asked him why, he said they look homemade... well they are, and i am cheap, and i wear them 5 days out of the 7 in the summer so i guess he will have to deal with it :)
*My hair is growing!! I liked my short hair for about 2 weeks and then i was over it! I miss my long flowing hair! If you ever hear me saying that i want short hair then tell me NO! i am so low maintenance that i could not spend an hour everyday round brushing it under! i gave up after a month and just let it do what it wanted! I plan to regain control of it in spring of 2012 when it is at a length I can manage!
*We celebrated our 5, YES 5 year anniversary on June 2nd! We celebrated by going to the Salt Lake Temple and out to eat! it seems like we have been married longer though...
*I recently bragged that i had never been pulled over in the ten years i have been driving... Biggest Mistake Ever! I got pulled over a few days after and then again 3 weeks later resulting in 2 $90 tickets!
*I ate half a bag of strawberry Twizzlers yesterday... it felt right at the time.
