Back home in Redondo Beach, Claire turned 2 and loves feeding her bear and baby doll in the new high chair she got.

Midnight at the beach during the grunion run. Melissa really got into the hunt and kept stealing Josh's flashlight. It was a ton of fun and we'll definitely go again next year!

Happy Birthday Maggie!

It's hard to believe, but Maggie turned 8 years old! It just doesn't seem possible. She is growing up too fast! Since she was turning 8 we let her have a birthday party this year, so we made it a Tangled theme. It was last minute planning, but with the help of this website we were able to throw together a fun party for Maggie and her friends.

These jello cups and orange boats are inspired by the part where Flynn and Rapunzel are in the boat watching the lanterns.

Jake's awesome artwork! We played pin the frying pan on Flynn Rider

Since making a tower cake was a little too much for me, I figured my cupcake tower would be good enough.

The group of girls

On her official birthday she opened lots of fun gifts, including a new bike and cute clothes, but she was really excited about this present.

Cute scripture bag to go with them

Why?

Why is it so hard for me to blog more often? Why do I feel like I have to touch up every picture before putting it on the blog? Why do I blog? I don't have the answers, but I do know that I feel satisfied when I finally do get all those pictures fixed and on the blog. I started this for our families so they can see what we are up to since we don't live around any family right now, but I'm pretty sure that only two from both families combined even look at our blog; even though both Jake and I have showed them many times where to go. Is it really that hard to click on favorites and then Jake and Melissa's blog? oh and how do set up how to see when others have updated their blogs? Thanks!

Mother's Day was great. As usual Jake was wonderful and made my day very special. The kids and I made Rice Krispie Treats for dessert, which are one of many favorites of mine.

I love this picture of Josh and me. We don't get many pictures of Joshua not being goofy, so this is a good one.

I love this picture too because it shows each kids personality. Maggie, standing good doing what she's suppose to, Josh being goofy and Claire cute and sweet.

My family came to visit which was so much fun! I love visitors so we always try and pack in as much as we can in the short time they are here. I think we were successful this time.

After Joshua's T-Ball game

He was so excited for them to watch him. He played a great game!

We went to Disneyland, of course.

Buzz seems to be the only character we ever see.

I had to put this picture because of Craig and Jake in the back ground. No not my Jake, my sister Jordan's Jake. Yes, my sister is dating and now engaged to a Jake. I didn't know how to feel about that, but there could be a lot worse then your future brother-in-law having the same name as your husband. He's great though. Very happy for them! **

Maggie has been doing an after school drama class and learning a shorter version of Annie. She was so excited when her performance and their visit were at the same time. She did such a great job! She wasn't scared or shy at all, I was so proud of our little orphan.

Maggie and her group of girl friends.

Another favorite thing to do when people come to visit is take them to all the yummy places to eat. Two that my family had never tried were...

Randy's Donuts

and

Yogurtland

We went to a Dodger's game. We prefer going to Angel's games, but they weren't in town.

We hit the beach and the pier even though it was a gloomy day.

Just a little bonus pic of Claire, because I just love this little girl!! Please don't ever grow up!

**little side note about Jordan and Jake. I was so happy to be part of the scheming and surprise of the proposal. The ring was being made and Jake found out it was finished on Friday. He decided to over-night the ring to our place so he could surprise her the following day. We were out to lunch when they tried to deliver the ring, so I had to drive to the Fed-Ex pick-up place and get the ring. I have to admit, I almost opened up the package and looked at the ring, but thought Jake should probably open it. He surprised her that night on the beach and she wasn't expecting it at all!! So fun :) I usually miss out on exciting family things, so it made my day to be part of this one. Love you guys!
