We've Been Busy

The last two months have been pretty busy for us with Jake and Maggie's birthday, the end of school, Maggie's dance recital and Mother's and Father's Day. Plus the growing belly has made doing anything not very easy. I now have time to relax a little more before the baby is born. Well, relax as much as I can while dealing with crazy Josh! I do have to cut him some slack since everything has been about Maggie lately. On Father's Day he asked us when he was going to get a special day just for him. We keep reminding him about his birthday, but October is just too far away.

Jake's B-day

Jake had been telling the kids that he wanted a Corvette for his birthday, so we went out and got him one. A smaller version, but he had never said shat size he wanted.

On Memorial Day we went to an Angels game to see the fireworks. Unfortunately they lost horribly to the other team.

We told the kids they could choose whatever treat they wanted. Mmmm, cotton candy.

Maggie's B-day

Maggie is six years old! Wow, I can't believe she is six. We surprised her with a Razor for her birthday which she loved. I was excited about her gift because it's the first year she has really had an opinion on what she wanted, so it was fun to have her be so surprised!

For her party she invited a few girl friends from school over to swim and have pizza. She has made some really nice friends at school. They are all so cute and really nice girls.

They had fun dancing between pizza and swimming. Our power had gone out right before the party started so I had to play the piano for them so they could dance.

On her official birthday we went to a fun place called Adventure Plex. She had received a buy one get one free card from school because she was awarded the Leo Writing Award for her Kindergarten Class. It's a glorified McDonald's play ground, but the kids love it.

End of School

School is officially over and it has been so nice not having to get up and get her to school by 8:00. We would always try and walk since her school is so close, but I was usually in my PJ's wearing my Purdue hat every morning. I have a good excuse though.

This is Maggie with her teachers. They job shared since they both have kids of there own and Maggie just LOVED them. She told me she didn't want to leave Kindergarten and cried on our walk home. She is definitely my girl.

Maggie's Recital

Maggie had her first recital and did so well. She wasn't even scared and was so excited. She got a new leotard for her birthday for the recital.

Each girl gets to come out by there self and do a "good-bye" dance. They each get to make up whatever they want. This is her doing her dance.

Father's Day

Each of the kids got a new bike so Jake took them out one Saturday to ride. Joshua was wild as can be and would go straight for Maggie. He was even trying to do tricks by the end of it.

Maggie's didn't come with training wheels, but because she had learned to balance with her Razor, once she got on the bike she took off the very first time! No crashes to report, yet.
