Memorial Day at the Pool

Jim, AR, and I headed to the country club on Memorial Day. They always have a DJ playing music and it is packed with people. The DJ has a dance contest for the older kids. However, AR thought she should be right in the middle of it. It was hilarious. She stood on the front row and danced with the big kids the entire time. The DJ was sweet and gave her prize for her dance moves. I can just tell we are headed for trouble with this one! :-) Please notice the sippy cup in these pictures. She is becoming really attached to it. She keeps us laughing all the time!

Rainy Lake Weekend

Jim and I went to the lake Memorial Day weekend with some of our friends. It rained a lot! I mean almost the entire time. We managed some quick boat trips in between the rain, but overall, we hung out at the lake house most of the time. Despite the rain, we all had a good time and the kids had a blast!
AR is saying "oh no, it is raining again!"

Chris and Jim

Jim was determined to have a good time. I love this picture!

Me and Mindy. My hair does not like rainy weather. :-)

Eating her first of many chicken nuggets. I didn't think she would eat it, boy was I wrong!

Andrew....the sweet baby on the trip. AR LOVES him and is so protective over him since he is her daycare buddy. It is so cute!

AR and Mary Molloy. She is over a year older than AR, but she is so sweet to her!

AR and her buddy Charlie.

AR with Casey and Addison trying to swing in the rain.

AR with her "Deda". She calls him that instead of Dada. Strange but cute! :-) There is no life jacket but we are still tied up at the marina waiting on a new battery.

Here Comes Trouble!!!

AR is now 20 months old. I captured a few pictures to show examples of how our baby is now a full blown toddler. She is a mess and keeps us on our toes daily. She is Miss Prissy, but gosh I love her so much! :-)

This is result of Jim "watching" her while I cooked. He kept saying she was fine, but I knew it was way too quiet!
She now LOVES pizza. She calls it peesa and can spot it from a mile away.

AR has a shoe obsession. I mean she will not go barefooted ever. She wants shoes on at all times. Even with footed p.j.'s. Luckily I had a Velcro pair that would fit. She was so happy with the huge fashion disaster.

The curtains are now her favorite hiding it place. It cracks me up b/c she will go hide and giggles as soon as she does so we can find her right away. She thinks it is so funny to hide!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to both moms in our life! We are very blessed!

The woman on the left: I could never put into a post what she means to me. She plays a major part in every aspect of my life. At 32 I still don't make many decisions without her. She is truly my best friend. If something good or bad happens she is who I want to share it with the most. I think Jim shakes his head sometimes at how much we talk! :-) I have entered her before in a mother of the year contest, but I have decided those would never do her justice. She would be mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, wife, mother in law, and friend of the year. She is amazing and I thank the Lord every day that he chose me to be her daughter! Happy Mother's Day Mom, We love you!
To the woman on the right: Since Jim doesn't blog, I will say it for him. She is amazing too. Her love for her family is evident. She always is taking of the "boys" at her house and does it very well. I know they would be lost without her.She has helped us so much taking care of AR. She will jump in and do anything we ask. She gives me great shopping sprees too! :-) We are so thankful we live close to her and get to spend many special times together. Happy Mother's Day and we love you!
Of course I can't blog without mentioning my joy too! This will be my 2nd Mother's Day and I can't remember what life was like before her. My heart is filled with so much love it might burst. She makes my day everyday and I thank the Lord he chose me to be her mother. I hope that I can be half of what my mom has been to me. I would give up everything to make this child happy and I can't wait to spend my life watching her grow up. She is pure joy and happiness to us.

Sick Day

AR has been sick this past week. It started off with a bad cough which of course moved to an ear infection. We kept her home one day to get a good dose of the antibiotic in her system. I took 1/2 day and we had a great time on her sick day. She had her first sucker and some orange sherbet. Don't we all love special treats when we are sick. Little miss priss had to have her slippers on all day. You can see them in one of the pictures. Too cute! Of course the pictures are out of order but you can still see how much she enjoyed the sucker.

Charlie's Cowboy Birthday

Last week AR's friend Charlie turned 2. Lindsey did the cutest cowboy birthday party at the farm. There were horses and a small petting zoo. We all had so much fun!

AR and her friend Jack. Ashley was out of town. We very proud of Brandon getting Jack to the party with no help. :-)
