I am so excited!

Indie in Hawaii last time we were there (May 2006)

So it seems that all my hard work over the last 4 or 5 years is now paying off! I graduate May 2nd with my Master's in School Counseling -even though my last class is not until May 26 :( and I am finishing at Cyprus knowing I will be starting a new journey at Granite Peaks High School in August. I am so excited but nervous at the same time...this will be a very different experience than I am used to and want to go in and do a great job.
And now I can focus on the final details of the wedding. We are getting some engagements done in May. We decided to go camping to Moab over mother's day, then I think the weekend of the 16th is pretty free, but over Memorial we will have our pictures done and hopefully be able to get some fabulous prints to hang up around the Market Street Grill. Then the next weekend is VEGAS and that puts us into June.
I am so excited for all the out of town guests to come and hang out in Utah with us for the wedding. It will be such a great time. June 19th weekend is the honeymoon (San Diego). We are not going to see Shamu this time :) (sorry Indie). Then Indie and I are off to Hawaii (June 25-July 16). I can't wait! Last time I was there Indie was 18 months old. It is kind of a graduation gift to myself and a celebration of the beginning of my career. I figure if I will be home all summer, might as well be a bum there instead of here in Utah!

oh the stress....

Falkor's fur is so messy here, she looks how I feel!
I am totally stressed and so I decided that I would write this blog about it :)

I have found what I want to do for the rest of my working life but I am so scared that I will not get the chance. In actuality it is really dumb that I am worried, but why did there have to be an economic crisis right when I graduate with my master's? Okay here are the things that I am stressed about right now:

1. not getting hired next year

2. not passing the praxis exam on saturday in order to get a license

3. not knowing what school I will be at

4. paying back my student loans without a job (ha ha that would really suck!)

So suprisingly the wedding stuff does not stress me at all! I am just really excited for the wedding and we have decided to move it downstairs at Market Street instead of having it on the roof as originally planned. This allows for us to invite more people! It is going to be a huge party and I am going to have a huge party when I resolve the four issues above (hello Vegas)! Until next time (I seriously have valentines pics of indie to post) Peace out all.

Right on track!

Here is where it will all take place!

So everything is coming right along with the wedding plans! We have heard from a lot of Luke's family that live out of town and a lot of them have said they want to try and come to the wedding! I am really excited about this because we don't get to see them very often (well for Indie and I we have only visited Luke's family once and his parents came out here once since we have been together). We should be sending out the out of town invites by the end of February in order to give all you non utahn residents plenty of time to plan and send back the RSVP! Indie is being very helpful with the plans. In fact he has told me that he will also be getting married to Luke and I that day. At first he seemed a little bugged though. Cindy asked him if he liked my ring and he bitterly said "nope." But that weekend we went to Market Street for a Bridal Show and he started liking the idea. First he said "mom I just want you" and so I asked him "well do you want luke too?" And he said yes. So I told him he could have us both and that was the good part about us getting married. He like that idea and that is when he decided he too was getting married.

Save the date!

So Luke and I have decided to get married! It will be June 13, 2009 at the Cottonwood Market Street Grill! I am so excited! More information to come.

Disneyland

What could be more fun than a quick trip to disneyland? The reality is we flew into Cali on Friday night and came home Sunday at midnight, but it was a blast! We spent all of Saturday at the magical place and Sunday driving the coast, eating cupcakes, and watching indie dive into the sand and ocean. The lines at Disneyland were pretty long, by noon all and I mean all the rides had at least a 40 minute line. But the thing is, standing in line with the fam was fun! As some people put it we got to "visit" the whole time. On Sunday I got to meet Kayla, Luke's cute cousin that lives in Cali. It was so nice to finally meet her! She hung out with us for most the day and shared my love for In n Out Burger, which was awesome. The best ride was the Twilight Zone Hotel. I can't even tell you all about it becuase if you have not been it has to be a suprise! I think the suspense of not knowing what was going to happen on each ride made the waiting in line worth it. So We got home at 1:30 am and in bed by 2. Yes making my way to Ol Cyprus the next morning was quite the battle, but the quick trip was worth it! Next stop....Vegas!
