Anniversary #8!!!

Eight years ago we were two crazy college students getting married the week before Christmas! Now eight years, 3 kids and nine moves (and lots of good times) later we're still SO happy and in love! Love you Adam!

All she wants for Christmas are her two front teeth!

Natalie has had quite the week! Monday night we were at the Hancock Family Christmas Party when she pulled out her tooth! She was so excited to lose a tooth. Her Grandpa Hancock told her he'd give her some money if he let him pull it out, but she decided she wanted to do it (and he gave her some money anyway). Then tonight when we were putting her to bed she was wiggling another tooth! Adam checked it out and it was so loose that Adam pulled it right out! So in 6 days she's lost her first 2 teeth! She's pretty excited about it all (especially the Toothfairy) and thinks she's pretty big!

Christmas Gingerbread Houses

Every year my amazing grandmother invites all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to come over and decorate gingerbread houses. It's a tradition we look forward to every year. Ryan loaded his house with as much candy as he possibly could. So much that his roof caved in because it couldn't hold all the candy he put on there! He had so much fun and had the biggest grin on his face the entire time we were there! Natalie took her time and made hers look so cute. I always loved going to do this at my grandma's house when I was growing up and now my kids get to enjoy it too! Thanks Nana!!!

Windstorm

Last Thursday Davis County got hit pretty hard with a fierce windstorm. There were wind gusts of more than 100 mph that hit us. Huge trees were uprooted and laying in streets and on houses all over the place! On our street alone there were 4 huge trees that got knocked over. My brother found his trampoline up against the side of his neighbor's house. And no, not his next door neighbor but the one next to them! We were without power from Thursday morning around 9:00 until Friday night around 5:30. We didn't know when the power was going to come back on so Adam decided to go get his generator from his parents house and as soon as he got it hooked up to the truck and got on his way back home the power came back on! Of course! He was pretty ticked off!

These pictures are of our neighbors across the street. The tree completely blocked the road. It's amazing that no one got hurt and no homes were damaged on our street.

First Snowfall

The kids and Adam took advantage of the first snowfall of the season. Natalie wanted a princess snowman and Ryan wanted a Buzz Lightyear snowman. So they both got what they wanted then combined the two and added a motorcycle helmet, courtesy of Adam! Pretty cute!

And although Eli didn't get to play in the snow he looked pretty dang cute in his hat!

A little catching up...

I didn't blog all summer long so I'm way behind. I'm going to do some catching up a little bit at a time (and not in any sort of order!).

At the end of August Natalie started Kindergarten!!! I got to go with her on the first day and stay for all but an hour or so. I was doing really well and hadn't shed even one tear and then the teacher told the parents it was time for us to leave. That's when the tears came. But I didn't let her see and I'm sure I wasn't the only one crying. I just can't believe my baby's in kindergarten already!

In August my baby brother got married! Robby and Leisja got married on the 26th in the Salt Lake Temple. They are such a cute couple and we love having Leisja in our family. She fits right in.

I knew this day would come...

I've known for 8 years that this day would come. I just didn't think it would come so soon! Adam is pretty excited about having his own bike again. I just hope that his "accident" days are over!

Halloween!!!

We had a fun Halloween and got way too much candy! The kids looked so cute and had a ton of fun. Natalie wanted to be a mermaid and lucky for me Adam's mom had made a mermaid costume for our niece a couple years ago that we were able to borrow! Ryan wanted to be a "super hero named Buzz" and again we were able to borrow the costume from another cousin! Eli got to wear a hand-me-down dinosaur costume from Ryan. We decided that Eli was Rex from Toy Story since Ryan was Buzz. So costumes this year were a piece of cake for me! Love that!

Natalie's Preschool Program

Natalie is done with preschool and is on to kindergarten! She had a program where they sang songs and had their own special part when they got to talk into the microphone. Natalie memorized her part in about 5 minutes. She's pretty good when it comes to memorizing things. Neither Adam nor I know where she got that from. Unfortunately all the pictures turned out fuzzy.

On the few days that we've had nice weather the kids have loved being outside.
I think Natalie's got a look of Adam in this picture. Probably because she's doing a trick on a bike (like her Dad did on motorcycles in his younger days). As long as it doesn't have a motor I'm okay with it.
Cute Ryan playing on Natalie's scooter (which he thinks is his).
We couldn't leave out Eli! Here he is with his Grandpa Hancock. What a sweet face.

Tire Swing and Tower

Adam has been wanting to make the kids a tire swing. He finally found an old tire to use and got it cut and put up in the tree. The kids (and neighbor kids) have loved it. Eli also gets to enjoy it as well. Now, if only this weather would allow them to play in it more! We are ready to be done with the rain!

The other day the kids and Adam built this "way tall tower". I don't know if it was more fun to build or to knock down.

Eli's Blessing

I'm a bit late in posting this (big shock, I know) but Eli was blessed on April 10. Adam did a great job and gave him beautiful blessing. It was so nice to have our families there with us. Thanks for coming!

I was really hoping to get a family picture of all of us together that day, but it didn't happen. I think about 30 seconds after Natalie got home she was in play clothes. The kids looked adorable in their Sunday duds.

Eli is getting so big! He is starting to get those chubby cheeks that all of our kids have had. They are the most kissable cheeks! I love them! And he's got the sweetest smile. It's so fun having a baby in the house again (except when it's 3 am and he's wide awake).
