Getting back into things

So I'm finally back! Wow! Time flies when you're having fun! We had a great Christmas and New Year's in Utah with our families. Natalie and I got to spend 4 weeks there, while Adam had to get back to work after 2. We loved being able to spend time with family and old friends again. Natalie had a fun Christmas and was grateful for the things she received. She only asked for 2 things from Santa Claus (play doh and new crayons) so she was easy to please. But we all got very spoiled! We had fun on Christmas Eve swimming with the Hancocks. I think all the kids slept pretty good after being so tired from swimming. What a fun tradition! Then we went over to my grandparent's for the nativity and goodies. My grandma has 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and she does gifts and stockings for all of us, along with her own 6 children and their spouses! She is one amazing woman.

For New Year's Eve we went to the Tree House museum with Natalie's cousins on the Hancock side. The place was packed with kids, but the girls had so much fun. That night we spent with my family playing games and eating yummy food.

Natalie loved being with her grandparents and cousins. She and Braxtyn played so cute together with the dressups, and had fun with Sofie, Lexi and Lauren playing barbies. She and Jimmy got along like cat and dog most of the time, but they still wanted to play together. It just drove the rest of us nuts having to listen to them! Natalie loved making and decorating cookies at Michael's, Ty's and Blake's house. Thanks Jess!
My sister-in-law Tiffany helped me (actually it was more like I helped her) make a diaper bag for my new baby coming in March. It turned out so cute. It is her design and creation. She is so creative. She also makes baby blankets, bibs, and pillows and sells them online. Go to http://www.modernthread.etsy.com/ to check out all her stuff. I think she'll be adding bags to her line as well. This picture turned out fuzzy but I just noticed that Tiff posted pictures of the bag on her design blog as well so you can see those pictures, that are so much better than the one I have, at http://www.modernthread.blogspot.com/. Thanks so much Tiff!!!
For some big news... we found out that we'll be moving to North Carolina in May! We'll be in the Raleigh/Durham area. We are excited about it and think we'll really like it.

So now we're back here in Maryland and trying to get back into our normal schedule and routine. Natalie and I have been sick ever since we got back Thursday night, but we're feeling better today. We took Natalie to see the doctor yesterday and found out she's got an ear infection and conjunctivitis in her eyes. She's feeling and acting so much better today than she was yesterday (thank goodness!). It's no fun to be sick! Adam has been a good husband and hasn't complained that I haven't cooked dinner since we got back. And he has tried to give me a break when he is around so I can rest and try and get better. Though today I've felt so much better that I'm cooking him a yummy dinner and may even do dessert.

Speaking of yummy dinners... we sure enjoyed eating at Cafe Rio again while we were in Utah. Man, I've missed that place! They need to make it over to the east coast! Though it's probably a good thing that they're not here. I'd probably be there all too often! I just can't get enough of their sweet pork salad. Yum!

Oh, we also made it to the D.C. Temple grounds before we left for Christmas. They were beautiful and Natalie loved all the lights. I guess it was a mini Temple Square. Though there were still tons of people there.
