Welcome Maelee!

June 24 was a wonderful day to our family. The night before we had taken Little A to Kim's house for a sleep over and when we left he asked if he was going to get sisser soon. That next morning at 6am we called the hospital to see if there was room for us to come and get induced. They told us that they would call back between 9 and 10 and let us know then when we would be able to come up. At 8:30 they called and asked if we would be able to be there at 9:00. We were already so we just made sure we had what we needed and headed up to the Hospital. We got checked in and the nurse said that we would be laboring and delivering in room 11, which now we are 2 for 2 in room 11 it is the same room Little A was born in.

Once we got there they got me all hooked up and started the meds to start labor it was now about 10:30. My mom and Kim brought Little A to see us. He wanted nothing to do with me but wanted to draw a house with daddy and play with the blinds. At the time I was at a 1. She keep moving and they keep loosing he heart beat which was a little scary for us but no worries they would come in and find it. At about 1:30 they told me that my Dr was on his way to come and break my water. I waited and waited and he never came. Finally the nurses told me that there was a car wreck in the parking lot and my Dr was there when it happened so it would be awhile at the same time Jamie was waiting for him also for her Dr apt. Around 3:00 pm Dr. Horsley came in a broke my water and I was still at a 1. Not a whole lot of progress. I was getting frustrated and wondering if we would ever get this little girl here. At 4:00 when they checked me I was at a 3, yea for progress. Not much changed in the next hour then at 6:00 I was at a 6. Around 7:00 I was having major pressure on my tailbone and Jodi and Kim were sure that they had done something wrong with my epidural. So we called in nurse in around 7:15 and she checked my and I was at a 9.75 they called my Dr and he left to come up he was there at 7:25ish and a few contractions later she was here at 7:33pm. Weighing in at 8 pounds and 6 ounces and 21 inches long.
Right after she came. I love the after birth pictures the mom always looks so great!

Her first bath She was not a huge fan of it until they ran her head under the water. She is already a true girl she loves her hair to be played with and washed. They now wash the baby in the room with the mom and the dad. It was really fun to get to she her first bath instead of just sitting in the room wondering what is going on in the nursery.

Miss M when she first got home. My mom had Little A and she brought him over to see her. Little A has wanted a dump truck with a tractor. So we found this one on the Internet and decided to keep it and have it at home for Little A when Miss M come home. We told him the sisser gave it to him and he still tells everyone about it. Just look at Little A cute face when I told him to smile over his new toy.

Just want to send a big thanks out to everyone that has helped in so many different ways during the process of becoming a family of 4.

Father's Day 2010

For Father's Day we gathered at my parents house to celebrate. All the Children and Grandchildren in my family gave my Father a fire pit for his ranch house. My mom gave the boys these awesome camping chairs. The next day Adam's family all come to our house to celebrate Father's day. It is so fun to get to be with both families all the time.

I am so lucky to have an awesome Husband (the father to my children), Father and Father-in-law. I have learned so many things from my dad and love him for the things that he taught me and the time that he spent with me though out my childhood. I am grateful for Adam's dad and all the wonderful things he taught Adam. My children are lucky to have both these men as Grandpas.

RAGNAR and Summerfest

The RAGNAR is a race that starts in Logan and ends in Park City. You run in teams of 12 and each member runs 3 legs and anywhere from 15 to 21 miles each. This year Shea and Lance put together a team to run. They were the "D" towers. Thanks the Elden Dattage Towing sponsoring the team.

That same weekend was the Summerfest. My mom, Kim, her girls, Little A and I headed over to see what was there this year. The kids loved the Kids craft center. While in there we ran into Little A cousin Faith too. I love that we have so much family in the valley Little A is always surrounded with cousins.
Back to the race. On Friday we all gathered at the shop to see Shea run leg his first leg. We did not get to see Lance run because his leg was up in a Mt. somewhere. On Saturday My mom, Jodi, Kim and her kids, Tonia and her boy, and Little A and I headed to Park City to see the team finish. The teams get together and run across the finish line. I did not get a picture but Adam's sister Holli ran too and we saw her at the finish line also. Little A thought it was so fun to cheer everyone in.

Fun While Daddy's Gone!

Here are some random thing that have been going on in Little A life.

A few Saturday's ago the Logan Air Port had an open house. Little A love airplanes so We decided that we were going to go. It ended up being a party like most things do in our family. Many cousins and Grandma and Grandpa came with us. Little A and I did a Parent and Tot swimming class. He thought is was great. Swimming is one of his favorite things so every day he looked forward to going to class. He looks so small in the swimming picture on that bench. Some of the things you would hear Little A say during swimming were, Hear Under, Jump off Side. No float on back, and Toy container. One morning we made brownies nothing like a little brownie batter right after breakfast.

Fun with Kendal

A few weeks ago Adam went to MT. on his annual fishing trip with his dad. It was had to have him gone being that I was 27 weeks prego and Little A has so much energy but at the same time it was fun getting to spend so much time with Little A too.

Little A always wants to eat outside so one of the day we did so on our front porch since we do not have a yard yet. That day Little A really wanted to go to the Pet Store. I really did not want to so I tried to talk him into anything else and in the end he won and we even took a cousin with us. Kendal came to the store with us and then after we headed to get ice cream. Little A did not really eat his but he thought it was so cool to have Kendal with him. When we went to drop Kendal off Ryan and Jamie let Little A stay and play so I got to go home and be alone for a while it was great!

Mom Retirement

This year my Mother retired from 25 years of teaching. She was a wonderful teacher and many children in the valley have been touched by her through her career. About a week before school was out her school had a party for her and one other teacher that was retiring that year. It was fun to attend and see all the different people in her school, in the community and students thought our her teaching come and celebrate with her.

A few days after school was out our family had a party for our Mother to celebrate her teaching career. We held it at the Riverwood conference center. It was so nice and beautiful their.

Little A loved running around so Adam had to hold him while we were out side so he would not get into the water. Steve and Carolyn came too. It is always nice to have them with our family.

After we ate a wonderful dinner we had a nice program. Lance welcomed and Ryan closed things, it was nice to here by brother talk about their Mother. It is different to hear great things about a Mom from her sons than it is from her daughters. The Grandchildren recited a poem that Kim had written for them, Little A party was "Panda's Rule, She had fun at school". He had it memorized and it was so cute to hear him say it. To end the night Jeff and Jodi had put together a wonderful movie for my Mom about her career and the future.

Big Boy Bed

In preparing for the arrival of Little Sisser, Little A got a new (to him) big boy bed. Adam painted it to look like a train wheel on the top. We got the bed with out the matres for $1 at a garage sale. I was worried that Little A would not like it and either not sleep or try to get out of it all the time. So we made him a deal that if he sleep in his bed with out getting out until for one week that he could have a cousin sleep over. He did it and still over a month later is still staying in bed. So Hunter got to sleep over. When Little A wants out of his bed we here him yell Momma, Daddy, or MOM, if we do not come right away then we hear OPEN DOOR!

Last Day of School

May 27 was a big day in our family this year, not only was is it my Mom's birthday it was the last day of school. My Mom retired this year and she said that was the best birthday gift ever. It was also my last day of work for a few year, I am not going to be teaching next year instead I am going to stay home and enjoy my children while they are young. Little A has been going to the best babysitter ever this year. In Nov. my other babysitter decided that she was not going to babysit any more and I found Amber. Little A loves Amber's house especially the kids there and the tractors, and dump trucks.

That night we had a birthday party for my Mom at Kim's house. Kim is so great to let us all bomb bard her house for parties.

I am lucky to have such a wonderful mother she is a great example to my and my children. Not a day goes by that I do something and think wow my mom taught me that or that was so something that my mom would have done.
