We had a very busy September.
At the beginning of the month we went to our Annual Airedale BBQ and walk. We always know when we have arrived as there is a flat Airedale to greet us at the end of the driveway.

We were delighted to see our friend Dora, with her Welshie brother Elvis and Welshie sister Molly.
We hadn't seen them for absolutely ages.
After a lovely stroll around the countryside we found a nice place to sit and relax.
The staff fed their faces while Monty looked on in hope.
The highlight of Monty's day was seeing his lovely Miss Betty Boo.
She came and said hello
Hello Betty, it's so lovely to see you again.
Taffy was the chaperon.
After a really long chat Betty took her Mum back to her seat while Monty and I watched all our friends.
"It's going really well isn't it Monty?"
Looks like the treat man is doing his rounds again.
Hope he doesn't run out before he gets to us.
Uh oh....
Monty, it's the fancy dress competition.
Get your head down quickly.
I really don't like dressing up.
They are so brave.
This grand costume won first prize.
The day ended all too soon but we did come away with a goody bag.
Monty's Betty Boo very kindly baked a bag of biscuits. It was so very kind of her to do that for us.
We did share them.
At the end of the month we went to the annual Welsh Terrier weekend in Wales.
We stayed at the seaside town of Barmouth for a couple of nights in a B&B.
It is a two minute walk to the beach.
Winnie couldn't believe we had the beach to ourselves.
Monty was pleased to see the waves were gentle and weren't about to chase him up the beach.
Taffy was first in.
Come on everyone. What are you waiting for?
Winnie: Here I am. Oh this is such fun.
I preferred to keep my paws dry.
Winnie: Don't be a spoil sport Molly.
Can we go for a walk along the beach now?
About a mile further down the beach we met
George.
Good morning George.
His young friend Roxy was with him. Taffy said hello
Monty spotted George's sister Tess, they were so happy to see each other.
We had a really good chat and looked pleadingly at George's Mum.
She had treats in her pocket.
No. We won't sit and pose. Just give us the treats.
George and Tess had to leave soon after we met them as their pawrents had to get home for the evening. We loved seeing them again, hopefully it won't be 6 months till we meet again.
We continued our walk along the beach.
Barmouth has such a pretty harbour.
Then it was time to walk back to where we were staying.
Winnie pleaded to have her long line on so she could practice her zoomies on the sand.
She paddled and dug.
Sadly the weekend came to an end far too quickly and we drove home through the Welsh countryside
When we arrived home we were allowed to open an envelope George had given us.
He is so very kind. He always remembers our birthdays and he gave us a gift card.
It had loads of money on it.
Thank you George and Tess you are the bestest pals.
We were told only one of us could go to the shop and choose some new toys and treats.
So a meeting was called.
I was told I couldn't go because there were
bunnies and birds in the shop and the owners would prefer they weren't traumatised....
Winnie couldn't go because Taffy said he wanted to go.
Monty stayed very quiet.
So guess who went?
Taffy.
There's a surprise!
I'll hand over to Taffy now to tell you about his trip.
~~~~~~~~
Come on grab one of those basket thingies and let's get in there.
We'll go down each aisle while I consider what to buy.
I hadn't been there 5 minutes and this chap came along.
He said his name was Max and he was an ex stud dog.
I really do hate dogs that boast.
I snorted and carried on looking at the toys.
I quite liked these collars. Fancied a change from my usual blue.
Not sure about the size.
Or shall I have a Prince Charming sweater?
NO, I will settle for a new collar in medium.
The food aisle was the next.
I'll have 4 of those please.
Now this is more like it.
Any B.O.G.O.F offers?
That's it. Everything I need is in the basket.
I'll go and sit in the car and wait while you pay.
Once again we must thank George and Tess for their very kind gift.
Well that is about it for now.
We will be back shortly to tell you about the exciting trip our "Flat selves" took in the middle of September.
