A day for Brody...

Brody Adam Dye was blessed yesterday
What a beautiful day it was.  We had so much support from loving family and were thankful for all those who came to celebrate this special day with us.  We missed our loved ones who couldn't be there :(

Everyone that stood in the circle.

Adam gave a beautiful blessing (even through Brody's crying!)  and the spirit was so strong.  It was followed by a powerful testimony meeting.... what an awesome day and what a BLESSING he is to our family!

Did I mention...

That 2 1/2 months ago, this little stud muffin joined our family?!

I'm a horrible blogger especially since I now have 4 little shadows :)
WOW!  Everyone told me "if you can do 3, you can do 6!"  Well, I must be some kind of wuss because 4 has definitely been BUSY!!!  I'm still a little scared to go anywhere with all 4 by myself.  But in the same breath I can say that it's the happiest I've ever been and we're sooooo in love with this BOY!  I love how strong he is, how big he is, and I love boy clothes!  He is just all around FUN!  It takes a lot of effort to resist kissing and squeezing him all day!

I have lots of catching up to do, but I took time today to show off my hunk and what he looks like now.  Stay in tune for my Baby Story and summer fun (mostly so I can remember)

Lucky 7

I'm a little behind, but Abby turned seven in April!! Seven? I just cannot wrap my head around it. It's so cliche to say it, but she is growing way too fast. I have tons of memories of when I was seven. And here I am 20 years later with a family of my own! It really hits hard because I was seven when my Dad passed away and I think how many memories she is already creating.   I do, however, love having a "grown-up" around to talk to and laugh with during the day. She is my right hand lady and I love Abbs with all my heart. I rejoice and ache in her joys and sorrows as I relive the stages she goes through. What joy she has brought to us these past seven years!

Back by popular demand... the rainbow cake,  Good thing it's an easy one!

Opening presents with Grandma Dye and Great Grandma Merkley after dinner at Craigos.

My beautiful mom.  Lucky girl to have both grandparents close by!

Such a poser!  Always wants her picture taken...

Abby takes pretty good care of these two hulagins:)  Something so special about sisters!

You are so special, Abby.  Never forget that and always know how much you are loved!

Guess what...

I finally got my ultrasound! You'll never guess what it is...
It's a...
BOY!
We could not be more excited! I had a feeling that it was a boy all along, but having three ultrasounds previous, it took me off guard to hear those words "it's a boy" and see that little boy part :)
Adam was late getting there so the tech looked at everything else and made sure the babe was okay. I love every part of ultrasounds. It was even more of a miracle to me yesterday looking at that perfect little body with perfect little parts. It doesn't get old for me I still cried when I saw the cute profile, toes and fingers! How amazing it is that the growth of a human can take place inside of me! If you really think about it, 9 months is pretty fast for a baby to develop all that it needs to sustain this crazy life.
Anyway, we were almost done with the ultrasound, Adam rushes in and she went right to the fun part. When she said it was a boy, of course I cried, but we all cheered and gave high fives! The girls were beaming and Aisha was jumping up and down saying "I knew it, I knew it" Adam also shouted "we just never gave up hope" HA! He had to rush back to the clinic, but he was walking a little taller and couldn't hide those dimples that come when he smiles!
We would have been thrilled with another girl, but it's exciting to mix it up a little bit. All I really hope and pray for is that he's healthy and strong.

as of late...

If you can't read it, it says "I'm going to be a big sister in July" SURPRISE! Maybe not a surprise to some of you, but I thought I should officially post it :) We are expecting *gulp* number 4! This time round has been very emotional to say the least. A roller coaster of feelings would hit me full on throughout the day.... inadequacy, excitement, no energy, fear, hope, nausea, dread, shock... you name it, I felt it. What I'm feeling most right now (besides sick) are excitement and blessed. I KNOW that we need to have this little spirit in our home and that's the biggest reassurance. I wish I could remember that all the time when all the other feelings rush in, but it's getting so much better and I know I won't be alone. My circle of love and time for each one will expand and make room for this little one just like it has since I had Abby! I don't know how it works, but it does. I've seen it first hand and I've come to rely on that and trust my Father in Heaven.
So, the baby's due date is July 20th (same as Aisha's due date) and that puts me around 17 weeks! Finding out soon what this baby is. Thought for sure it was a boy at first, but now I'm thinking I have no clue. Adam thinks girl, he's just preparing himself and not getting his hopes up :) Poor guy could sure use a little man around the house! We will take whatever we can get, besides, I was number 4 girl so we better not be disappointed :) The girls are WAY excited and counting down. Aisha of course is telling whoever she can and then runs to my belly and says "look, you see that bump? There's the baby!" Yes, I'm already showing and feeling the kicks a lot!
We are very happy to share this news with you and are excited for this adventure in our lives!

Girls and Giggles...

They may be cute as heck, but these three are making me nuts lately! Meaning, just when I have about had it with them I don't know whether to yell, go away and count to ten, or just burst out laughing! They do the typical, arguing, tattling, dramatic crying but most of all it is NON STOP giggling! We cannot say a decent prayer, read scriptures, have f.h.e, or carry on a conversation without Abby or Aisha falling over or covering their mouths in laughter. Sami's usually in on it too, but she's trying to get her two bits in by picking fights. Oh, man... it might be a girl thing, but I can't help but think it's mostly in the genes (the giggling part at least) Most of my childhood memories were of my sisters, Dayne and I laughing at one thing or another! When we were supposed to be quiet was when it was the hardest to control. Even a warning look would have us doubled over! Some of you might think things haven't changed that much :) but when I get frustrated and don't know what to do, I'm glad I remember what it was like to be kid and I can go from there.
