We went and saw SANTA tonight. Caden was so excited and told him he wanted a transformer that mouth opens. As you can see Chase was not as excited to see SANTA he made it about two seconds and was done.

O CHRISTMAS TREE
THANKSGIVING
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I actually hosted this year, well kind of. My parents, my brother Jason his wife, their three girls, and my niece Bailey came to our house for thanksgiving this year. We had a house full but it was a lot of fun. Chads parents came down from Wyoming as well and we all met over at their home (2nd home down here) for dinner, they have a much bigger dining room. We got to have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with both sides of our family.
Those who know me know I like a good deal. I have been waiting for Black Friday for months and of course was up bright and early, 4 am, along with my husband, mom, brother, sister-in-law and mother-in-law. We headed to Wall-Mart first then on to Target, Costco, Best Buy and the Mall. We had a great time and and got most of our Christmas shopping done. My dad and my nieces stayed and watched my kids. THANKS GUYS!
There are some many things I am grateful for this season: Chad for the hard worker he is, my kids for teaching me patients, giving me love and the joy of being a mother, our families and the good times we share, our home and heat to warm it with, vehicles, food on our table, and our families health to only mention a few. There are so many things that I take for granted. When I hear of someone less fortunate it makes me think of all the small things that I have never been without, and how lucky I am.
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and may we all take the time to remember the small things!

Chase's First Birthday!
Chase had his first birthday last week. I can't believe it has been a year since he joined our family. He is so cute and such a blessing in our home. He doesn't walk yet and really doesn't show much interest in it. He will walk holding your hands but as soon as you let go he falls to the ground he doesn't even try to stand on his own. He has eight teeth, which is crazy because at 10 1/2 months he had only two teeth. He has gotten six more in the last month and a half, and boy could we tell. He has been so sad and wants to be held all the time. A week before his birthday he got a sore in his mouth and by the end of the week it developed into a mouth full of sores. He wouldn't eat anything and has been very unhappy this past week. He didn't feel good on his birthday and wouldn't even taste his cake. He did enjoy digging through it though! I felt so bad for him, not a fun way to spend your first birthday. I took him to the Dr. on Monday and got him some medicine and he is looking and acting a lot better. We had a fun little party for his birthday, both my parents and Chads parents came from Wyoming. He got some fun things and seemed to enjoy all the attention. Happy Birthday Buddy!! We love you so much!
Chase and Caden in the box from Chase's Wagon. Isn't that how it goes we buy all these toys and their favorite thing to play with is the box.
Pumpkin Patch
We went to Stahli Farm for family night last week. This has kind of turned into a tradition since we have had kids. They have such fun things to do their, like horse riding, corn maze, pumpkin patch, play ground, and petting zoo. Caden rode a horse but non of my pictures turned out.
This is the boys in the pumpkin patch picking out a pumpkin!
Where does time go?
It has been a while since my last post so I thought I better do a update before I really get behind. We haven't been up to much Chad is working like crazy getting the business going. I am trying to keep up with the boys and be the shop secretary when I have a chance. Life has defiantly gotten more crazy and there never seems to be enough time in the day. We have been blessed no doubt and things are going well. Here are some funny pictures that I have been meaning to post.
Chad and Caden went hunting last week here in St. George and got a deer the last day of the hunt. Caden was so excited and had lots of questions when Chad was skinning and cutting the deer up. I still wonder what he thought about the whole thing. He has told everyone (including his Dr. , the clerk at Lin's and all his friends) that his dad shot a deer. So I think he liked it!

CABINETS ANYONE?
It is official Stonebrook Cabinets have opened the doors! For all of you who don't know what I am talking about Chad has worked at a Cabinet shop here in Southern Utah for the past five years and loved every minute of it. They started having financial problems and had to shrink their shop to a small shop of family so that left Chad and a lot of other employees looking for new jobs. Chad and his dad decided to go partners and open a cabinet shop here in southern Utah. They decided to do this back in July and Chad has been working with one of his friends non stop to make it happen. Chad and two of his friends from the previous shop are working there. They finally got all the licenses and are official, able to open and start building this week. So far they have had a great response from people and builders and have contracts for several jobs. We feel so blessed that things have worked out as well as they have since the economy has been so crazy. We hope that things will continue to do well and business will only get better. Thank you to all who have helped get this shop put together! It has taken a lot of time and work and we appreciate all those who have helped we couldn't have done it without you.

Chase's first hair cut!
Chase is 10 months old and has crazy hair. His hair is fine, he has spots that are longer than others and it stand up all the time. I have had enough of this crazy hair and decided to give him a hair cut this morning. It did not take much and it looks tons better. No more hair hanging over his ears. I forgot to take a before picture but this was during the hair cut. Chase was so good and just ate his Cheerios. Caden took these pictures, I would have to say not to bad for a three year old!

Just 2 Minutes
This is what happens when I leave Caden and Chase in the room alone for 2 minutes. Caden had Chases head wrapped up in painters tape. Poor KID!! Chase didn't seem to mind to much until it was time to take it off and some hair came with it. What a kid Caden is, he always seems to amaze me with the ideas he comes up with, lets just say he has a very good imagination! Hang in there Chase a couple more years and you can wop on Caden!
Your still adorable even with a taped up head!
Caden's First Day of Preschool!!
Today was Caden's first official day of Preschool. We went on Tuesday and had a meeting with the teacher and they sang songs, but today he went all by himself. He was so excited to finally be going to preschool, he has been asking to go for a year now! He was all smiles when I picked him up and wants to go back so that is a good sign. His teacher is Mrs. Liz and she seems to be so nice and he really likes her. I cant believe he is old enough for school time goes fast (I know every parent says that but time just seems to go faster when you have kids!)

Queen Charlotte Fishing Trip
In July Chad went on his annual fishing trip to Queen Charlotte Island in Canada. He went with his dad, uncles, cousins and some family friends. They had a great time and caught tons of fish.
While they were in Canada I took the boys and went to Evanston for a week of fun. We went swimming in the river, Camping in the Unitas's, and enjoyed the nice cool weather. I of course forgot my camera. We had a great time and love going and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Erickson thanks for showing us good time.
Jeff and Colby with their King Salmon!
Who knows what kind of fish these are that Chad caught!

Summer Vacations
Wow, June has come and gone and we haven't been home for most of it. The first of June the boys and I went to Wyoming for ten days to visit my family, and I had a girls weekend with some friends from high school. Chad met us up there that weekend for my family reunion. We came home for two days and off to California with Chad's family( his three sisters and parents). We had such a fun time we went to Disneyland and California Adventure Park for two days, Six Flags one day and Sea World another day. We were running like crazy to fit it all in a week but we did it.

MICKEY!! This is what Disneyland is all about. Caden was was so excited to see all the characters and would give them BIG hugs before getting his picture taken with them.

So all the kids gathered all the treats that everyone took camping and made the Candy store. They took turns selling and advertising for the store. How cute and there is nothing better than a candy store where everything is FREE!
Chase enjoying the Candy from the candy store. Yes, that is a airhead in one hand and a tootsie in the other, he thought he was in heaven .

Girls weekend!!
The last week in May three of my friends (Kristin, Bridget and Beezer) from high school met in Park City and had a girls weekend. We had so much fun!! We went shopping and got a hotel for the night. I took more pictures but when I got home this was the only one on my camera. I don't know what happened to the rest. My parents met me in Park City and took the kids to their house. This was the first time that I have left my kids overnight except Caden when I had Chase. They did great and loved being at Grandpa and Grandma Erickson's house. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking them!
