Parish Notices
Please see the weekly bulletin for this week's news and Mass intentions. In August we celebrate the great solemnity of the Glorious Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On that feast's octave day we then celebrate Mary's Immaculate Heart recalling "when it was pleasing to Him who had chosen you from your mother's womb, your immaculate heart was moved with pity for us. Then, by the assistance of your maternal hand, we were led from the domain of darkness to sanctity's realm of infinite light." ( IIdefonsus of Toledo). Pray for us most Holy Mother of God that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen."
Information on Safeguarding may be found in the Contact Section where there are also links to the Safeguarding Services of the Archdiocese of Birmingham and a number to use in case of an emergency.

Welcome
Our beautiful church has served the Catholic community of Dorchester-on-Thames since it was built in 1849. However, and uniquely, our parish traces its origins directly to the coming of St Birinus from Rome in AD 634. Here you more about our church and its history.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated every day. There is also Holy Hour of Eucharsitic Adoration followed by Benedcition of the Blessed Sacrament on the first Sunday of each month. See Mass and confession times.

Music at St Birinus
The Davey Consort, directed by Ryan Wigglesworth, sings the sacred liturgy week to week. Plainchant and sacred polyphony from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries are at the heart of the its repertoire and there is Sung Latin Mass 11am every Sunday.

Our Organ
Commissioned for St Birinus Church and designed and built by internationally renowned Master Organ Builder Bernard Aubertin, our organ is a beautiful instrument, entirely hand-crafted and designed to complement the restoration of the sanctuary.
