This is an actual, working project, it is not spam. Don Higgins wrote a similar product which was sold commercially; I think he sold it to Micro Focus. Here, this provides a similar environment for running assembly programs (and recompiling COBOL for execution) that one would get from installing Hercules and the MVS 3.8 Six Pack. This has the advantage of running everything in Java under Windows (or Linux) as opposed to learning TSO and working with the painful mainframe environment that we as programmers put up with for decades. It is a good system for learning on or, doing practice, or using as an environment for testing batch oriented or interactive programs in a simulated MVS environment. Even the macro calls work the same as on MVS, even though they had to be rewritten from scratch. This is an amazing piece of work.
