I ike this editor. Has some quirks with the text input, but is robust. Can handle without issues +1G of raw text. The launcher and the tk console attached give it potential also

Отвечу человеку из Красноярска по-русски, раз уж речь о "NO Russian interface". Очевидно, у человека TKE for Windows, еще точнее - tke.exe. И тут начинаются проблемы: 1) TKE вообще-то рассчитан на Tcler-ов - людей, знающих что такое Tcl/Tk и умеющих что-то на нем делать. 2) Поэтому лучший способ установки TKE - с помощью исходников tke.tgz. Это даст возможность самому настроить TKE вплоть до его исходных текстов. Это интересно любому Tcler-у. 3) tke.exe - это по большому счету игрушка, ограниченная в возможностях настройки и потому не интересная любителям open source. А теперь о Russian interface. TKE говорит с пользователем на 19 языках - на английском и 18 прочих, в том числе на русском. В Linux проблем с этим нет. Там UTF-8 повсюду и локаль на родном языке. Но в Windows проблемы есть. 1-я проблема. Если Windows настроен на английский интерфейс, то и TKE говорит с челом по-английски. Человек из Красноярска почему-то предпочитает общаться с Windows по-английски, а в TKE ему подавай русский. Чтобы получить русский интерфейс Windows и TKE, надо настроить Windows: Control Panel -> Language -> Move Up (Russian) т.е. поднять Russian, чтобы он был первым/главным языком интерфейса Windows. Потом надо перезагрузить Windows - и TKE заговорит с красноярцами по-русски. 2-я проблема - UTF-8. Ее каждая программа в Windows решает сама. Ну, вот так случилось, что TKE устанавливает кодировку открываемых файлов как [encoding system] - это было бы неплохо, в некоторых ситуациях, но вообще это слишком жестко. В случае с Красноярском, у всех открываемых файлов кодировка cp1251. Проблема решается заменой одной строки из TKE/lib/files.tcl: -encode [encoding system] \ на -encode utf-8 \ О таких проблемах нормальные герои пишут в Tickets, а не мечут свои bulls*** по стенам. Насчет подсветки синтаксиса Python - это не о TKE. Этот редактор отлично подсвечивает около 90 языков - где вы такое увидите? Список ЯП в меню TKE : View/ Set Syntax Что до гневных тирад насчет иконки TKE, то тут без комментариев. --- Я выставлю TKE оценку 4, потому что знаю его недостатки и достоинства. Последних - намного больше.

There is NO Russian interface! I went through all the settings and plugins. There is no support for UTF-8! From a python syntax, only a couple of words are highlighted. Complete bulls***, which is not worthy of attention. By the way, I forgot to say that the icon looks awful, apparently creating a set of icons, he did not look at everything included in ico and some of them are not with a gray background, but with a gray background in blue spots.
