DaDFiR3: 4th International Workshop on Automated Regulatory Financial Reporting

Closing Conference on “Regulatory Financial Reporting”

Autor: Cornelia Kegele

DaDFiR3 is about data-driven financial risk and regulatory reporting, with a focus on reworking the reporting infrastructure. The project is funded through the "BRIDGE" funding program, a joint initiative supported by SNSF and Innosuisse.

Reworking the reporting infrastructure

"Our vision is to rework the reporting infrastructure to a future regulatory financial reporting infrastructure that is versatile, lean, and pull-oriented working in a decentralized, diverse and fast-moving ecosystem."
-DaDFiR3 Team

We see a paradigm shift in financial regulation driven by increased timeliness, flexibility, transparency, and comparability. This shift enables regulators and financial institutions to adapt more effectively to new situations, conduct more realistic analyses of systemic risks, and strengthen their ability to mitigate adverse events.

These developments will have a significant impact on the financial system and society as a whole. Financial institutions will benefit from lower operational costs, a better understanding of risks, and the ability to allocate resources more effectively toward strategic activities. The financial system will become more resilient and efficient, while the real economy will benefit from a more stable financial environment.

For society at large, this transformation will improve transparency in financial markets and help create a more level playing field between buyers and sellers. It will also strengthen Switzerland’s position as a leading hub for FinTech innovation and provide the foundation for a future-oriented digital financial infrastructure.
