ts-polkitagent is out of date, and likely not needed
The reference to ts-polkitagent should probably be removed for a couple of reasons. First, the package hasn't been updated since 2017. Not to mention, it really isn't needed anymore since polkit has it's own TTY agent built in. For the same reasons, polkit-dumb-agent-git should probably also be removed. Hyprland do not have any polkit agent
As far as I know, you need to configure it manually. Hyprpolkit is in aur. Can we remove Hyprand mention in 1.1? Geov (talk) 00:18, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- The agent is provided by hyprpolkitagent-git, which is mentioned in the list right underneath the paragraph that mentions Hyprland. WhyNotHugo (talk) 20:56, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
Add sentinel-polkit-agent to the Authentication agents list
I'd like to propose adding sentinel-polkit-agent] (AUR: [https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sentinel/ sentinelAUR, sentinel-gitAUR)
to the #Authentication agents list. It's a Wayland-only auth agent (uses zwlr-layer-shell-v1, so it works on cosmic-comp / Hyprland / Sway / KWin) that presents a click-through confirmation
rather than a password prompt — useful with sudo-rs and similar setups where the human-presence check is the actual security
boundary. Sipsip (talk) 02:14, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
