The local opossems are trekking their way through my neighborhood again. This time they’re eating up summertime bugs and roaches. I’ve yet to see a single wasp or nest this year. Do opposems even eat wasps? I know they are acrobatic up in the trees and can get on my roof. I’m tempted to leave them out a thank-you-pile from my garden (currently apples and tomatoes). But I’m far from a wildlife dietary expert. Plus the ones I’ve seen so far are fat, jovial, and rambunctious. And are probably already nabbing a few garden delights on the way out.
I have a loquat fruit tree that bloomed in May. Anything that’s still on the tree is likely dried up and fermented. Barhopping f😜kers are up in there every night!

Funny how animals like to get wasted, too…
